Pool K Round-Robin Game
Game 1
After a few uneventful archer skirmishes in the center, DS tried a strong west flank (25%) with rather poor coordination. SA wighted a large regiment of thrall in the east river, and were able to bring their entire force to bear on the flank, quickly crushing it. The final battle was swiftly decided in SA's favour. Game 2
SA (starting east) tried a north juggernaut, DS a south juggernaut. Upon seeing DS's army, SA retreated to the mid-E flag. DS split their army into two SW and SE, and after a few skirmishes in the SE, SA split their army into mid-W, mid-E and NE. DS crushed SA in the west quickly, and were able to steal the mid-E flag from SA when Mat Cauthon's thrall abandoned it and walked S for no apparent reason. SA were able to reclaim the mid-E flag in a close battle and were a few seconds too slow in tagging the empty SW flag with their two remaining ghols. Final score: 3-3. Game 3
SA started SE, DS in the SW. DS were very slow off the mark, and moved their whole army to the center. Unfortunately SA were able to tag the center flags before they got there, and moved their whole army to the S. The situation quickly developed that SA needed the NE flag to win and DS needed the S flag to win. DS decided to attack the S flag and not bother guarding the NE flag, so SA waltzed in and tagged the last flag for the win. Match Summary (films)
After a convincing win in the first game, SA managed to blunder in the second game and DS came nearly level. However, SA totally outclassed DS to walk home in the final game... not a perfect performance, but still pretty close. This is the first game of the MWC! Well done! - Butcher
