Game 4
Game 1
As the rules specify, Aleph Naught divided themselves into two teams; Derel and Ravager in the red and Jeff the Meek and Almighty Slayer in the blue. Watership Down also divided, Fiver standing alone while Buckthorn and Campion huddled together for protection. All teams chose maximum infantry, Watership Down opting for two archers and a dwarf rather than AN's choice of journeymen. Aleph Naught started in the southeast and the northwest, while Watership Down started on the hill and in the southwest. AN's armies quickly moved towards their nearest prey, while Fiver stayed put in the southwest and Buckthorn sent all of his thrall to Fiver, guarding the center with only his warriors. Derfel's squad of pus ghols moved in and paralyzed the defenseless warriors, and they were quickly finished off by a combined warrior and thrall attack. Meanwhile, in the south, Campion's thrall were having bad friendly fire problems with Fiver's army. Aleph Naught's two armies moved in on their combined position and crushed them due to good coordination and journeyman usage. AN were more interested in attacking each other than tagging balls at this point, and a sloppy cleanup let WD's surviving ghols steal 2 balls for a few points. Game 2
Campion left the bunnies' ranks this game, leaving just Buckthorn and Fiver, who started in the northwest and the southwest. AN's armies began on the hill and in the southeast, again each going for a single 'prey' army. In the south, AN badly pussed their enemy's warriors and moved in for a quick tidyup. At about this time, the other AN army was swooping on the remaining rabbits. A pus attack followed up by a mixed ghol and warrior force swiftly finished WD's warriors, and their remaining thrall fell like wheat before the scythe for a comfortable win. Game 3
This game, Fiver's teammates had all deserted him, leaving him to face AN's team on his own. Aleph Naught took advantage of the attention deficit, and split their army up to confront Fiver in multiple places at once. Fiver was unable to cope with the battle on so many fronts, and AN managed to kill half his zerks using pus + zerks. This demoralising blow was quickly followed up by a forest giant attack on defenseless warriors, and although Fiver accounted himself well in the final battle, AN still carried off the victory. Game 4
This game, Fiver was joined by Bigwig. Watership Down started in the southwest and sent a forest giant + zerk attack to AN's northwest home flag, which was only guarded by warriors and archers. Unfortunately for Bigwig, AN spotted the attack force in time and returned with zerks and pus ghols to swing the battle firmly in their favour. The remaining WD forces were taken out by AN's forest giant quite easily. Game 5
Aleph Naught started in the northeast this game, while Watership Down started in the southeast. WD opted for two dwarves, AN taking only one and more infantry. Both armies moved in towards the center and squared off around the bowl. AN moved their soulless around to pick at the enemy warriors and this prompted a charge. AN's elevated dwarf took a heavy toll on the WD infantry, while their dwarves scored some self-damage before falling to a rain of spears. Watership Down's infantry was completely eliminated while AN still had 95% of their army left. Their soulless soon fell to a combined assault, but AN suffered some costly losses, dragging them back down to a +75% win. Match Summary (films)
Fiver puts it rather well when he says: "Zorn, the warren, zorn. The men came and clogged the entrance holes, then they gassed the warren. I barely escaped; Buckthorn fought valiantly, but he disappeared. I could not find either Hazel, Hawkbit, or Strawberry. I saw the carcass of Bigwig though, it was awful. I fled as fast as I could. Campion was right behind me, but he must have fallen pray to the men and their guns, for when I looked back, he was gone as well. I ran until I fainted, and now I am here to tell you the terrible news. Frith-rah save us!" - Butcher
