Game 12
Game 1
Foundation separated into the two teams of Hadrian, Klaw, Chameleon and Ralph, Gil-Estel. Liquid Trow chose to go it alone, with his two teammates sticking together. All armies went for close to maximum infantry, with one Foundation army taking two journeymen, and Liquid Trow taking three archers. Foundation started in the center and southwest, while the LWW started northeast and southeast. F quickly linked up in the northwest, and the LWW armies both came that way as well. Liquid Scythe's warriors were taken out by both F armies' combined pus, and their warriors coordinated to take out his thrall as well (with some friendly fire). Both armies' veteran warriors then went southeast and pasted Liquid Trow quite efficiently. A nice ally-contesting trick was used to prolong the game so that F were able to seize all 9 balls. Game 2
Foundation started in the northwest and southeast, while LWW started center and northeast. All armies chose the same units as last game, save Liquid Trow who forsook his archers for two journeymen. All the outside armies chased each other anti-clockwise, but Liquid Trow slowed down a little and this allowed the Foundation army behind him to catch up, prompting the army in front of him to turn and attack as well. Ralph's army moved in and killed Trow while Klaw delayed his reinforcements with pus, and both Foundation armies then turned on Liquid Scythe. Unfortunately for Liquid Scythe, one of Trow's warriors had become possessed with bloodlust and went after his ally's warriors, killing three (who just tried to run away from him) until they eventually mustered the courage to strike him down. Foundation quickly slew the remaining LWW forces, and it was all over (both enemies eliminated). Foundation didn't seem to realise this, and healed all of their veteran warriors to the background strains of LWW accusing each other of "killing their guys". Game 3
Foundation started in the southeast, while LWW started northwest. The Liquid Wu Warriors sent their archers and warriors to the north, while the rest of their army headed to the center, only to confront Foundation's juggernaut. The LWW zerks and forest giant charged this overwhelming force and were exterminated, LWW's warrior and archer reinforcements arriving just in time to see the last zerk fall to the ground. Game 4
Liquid Trow fought this battle on his own, all his teammates having deserted him. He seemed to be preoccupied with chasing the enemy forest giant, and didn't notice that all of his flags were being taken. Foundation won quickly with a 9-flag-induced sudden death. Game 5
Foundation started in the center, and got some good hits in on LWW's soulless as they moved into position. Despite this, the soulless battle was very close and Foundation came out with only three wounded soulless. They won the ensuing melee battle easily due to a very nice draw on the enemy warriors, signalling the end of the match. Match Summary (films)
The Liquid Wu Warriors' team spirit seemed to leave them as they struggled to coordinate their paltry forces in the face of a determined, experienced opponent. Hope you guys enjoyed playing in the Myth World Cup, and congratulations to Foundation, who move on to Round 2! - Butcher
