Game 11
Game 1
Lucifer's Knights started northwest and southeast, choosing to go for a heavy set of archers and few thrall. Their solo opponents, Warsaint and Zealot, chose maximum infantry, two archers and one dwarf respectively. The opening game saw many messages being exchanged in Swedish, as the LK team showed off how much their bilingual ability helps in dual-team games. :) Luxus' team moved into the center to attack Zealot, who has split his army into several fragmented parts. His thrall were easily isolated and destroyed. Meanwhile, his unattended ghols were killing his ally's ghols in the south... Warsaint's army formed up in the northwest, along with the five warriors that were the only survivors of Zealot's army. Unfortunately for Warsaint's thrall, Zealot lost control of his warriors again and they went berserk among the defenseless thrall. After this difficulty was sorted out, the IWS army split into many pieces, Warsaint's warriors running back and forth across the north plain while being plinked by Luxus' archers. These wounded warriors were quickly killed when they tried to turn and fight their veteran pursuers. A routine cleanup was marred by SiClops' ghols contracting rabies, and they managed to kill almost all of their allies' archers before being brought under control. LK still won 9 balls to zero. Game 2
Zealot's friendly-fire experiences must have demoralised him, for he left only to be replaced by a warrior whose name was a very stylish ASCII picture of a sword. The two LK teams and Warsaint opted for the same troops as last game, while ASCII Sword Boy took zero thrall, maximum ghols, warriors and journeymen, and four archers. LK started NE and SW, while IWS started NW and SE. Lucifer's Knights quickly moved in on the NW army, sandwiching and destroying it but taking heavy casualties in the process. They then moved to the SE, where ASCII Sword Boy's army had hardly moved since the start of the match. Poor play by LK saw them losing all of their melee, and all of their archers were then taken out by the nameless warrior's journeyman. The game then turned into a farce, while the LK armies self-contested a ball in the center and sent unit after unit on their own at the rampaging journeyman, and Warsaint's only surviving unit (a wight) went around capturing all the unguarded balls. LK eventually tired of this frivolity and stopped contesting, leaving the final score at 8-1. Game 3
Both armies opted for heavy archers, and no pus or dwarves. The LK army headed in a juggernaut to the center, while IWS split up; their warriors went one way, archers another, zerks a third way. The IWS warriors were quickly hunted down and destroyed by the LK berserks and forest giant, and their zerks were chewed up by a combined force when they came to help. The LK forest giant fell upon the defenseless IWS archers, and forced a FG vs FG duel for the win by elimination. Game 4
LK took the same set of troops, while IWS swapped their archers for five dwarves and a wight (again, not healed for pus). Both armies went to the center, IWS sending their dwarves north on a flank (!). IWS forced a FG vs FG battle again, and LK retreated back to the safety of their archers. IWS's forest giant followed and was cut down by arrows, but the friendly fire almost killed the LK forest giant as well, turning it to stone. IWS seized their chance to force a battle, but LK were able to heal their stoned forest giant (fighting off multiple attacks to do so) and won the battle handily. IWS suicided their remaining dwarves and wight, giving LK the win. Game 5
IWS decided that the pressure was too great for them, and ended it all with their wights at the start of the game. Match Summary (films)
The Immortals Without Souls didn't fare as well as they might have liked this round; lack of practice probably sealed their fate, as shown by Zealot confusing Captures with Scavenger Hunt in the first game... - Butcher
