Game 15
Game 1
The Rabble Forces divided into two teams, Leonidas commanding Guerro and Dminor from their center start position and Renwood commanding Umbra in the northwest. Likewise, Argyle commanded Koolaid and Klown in the southeast and Black Knight commanded Black Cat in the northeast. Killer chose to take maximum archers, RF taking no archers and journeymen for pus. Renwood also swapped some thrall for a dwarf, preparing a ghol bomb. Both Rabble Forces moved in on the northeast, Black Knight heading west to meet that threat and Argyle's army coming north to help. Argyle ended up tangling with Leonidas in the northeast, while Renwood used the ghol bomb on his opponent (taking out four warriors) and moved in to destroy the remaining opposition. Leonidas got dropped and his team was killed, while Renwood's army survived its confrontation with 7 warriors remaining. There were many lag-outs during the cleanup, and the game ended with only five of the original ten players remaining. Still, a max-points victory for the Rabble Forces. Game 2
Reagan took Black Cat's place in this game, Killer starting in the center and the southeast while RF started in the northeast and southwest. Everyone took the same troops as last game, except Renwood, who decided not to take a dwarf for the bomb. Argyle sent his wight out towards Leonidas' army, where it was healed for more pus; Leonidas' ghols returned the favour and pussed Argyle's army thoroughly, a combined assault from both the RF armies totally annihilating them with virtually no losses. Argyle: "this is bs" The last army's warriors circled around the hill to attack Renwood's army, while their thrall and archers went straight up onto the hill only to find Leonidas' army waiting for them; all were quickly destroyed. An easy mop-up despite one of Leonidas' warriors going insane; he had to be put down. Game 3
The Bamboo Fighters started in the northwest, and took no wights for pus, spending their points instead on thirteen archers. Meanwhile, RF had started in the northeast and took one dwarf and one wight for pus, leaving them with only six archers. Killer sent their zerks south, and left their warriors and archers at home while their forest giant harassed the enemy. Their berserkers fell upon the main RF force, and were outnumbered nearly 2:1, leading to a swift demise. Their forest giant was pussed and hurt badly; while running away, a single arrow struck home to freeze him, resulting in his death soon thereafter. The Rabble Forces belied their name to converge from all directions on Killer's home flag; Killer moved off their flag in response, allowing a ghol to slip around the back and tag it for an early 9-flag win. Game 4
Both armies chose the same troop setup as last time, Killer starting in the northeast while RF started in the SW. RF's army all went to the center, to meet Killer's forest giant and zerks. Killer's giant moved in and swatted a dwarf, who exploded, damaging the giant badly. Once again, a stray arrowshot was the final insult that sent the giant into hibernation. Amusingly, the main target of this attack (RF's journeyman) was smacked by the giant before he died; however, the single blow was deflected by carpet-boy's coat into a harmless puff of dust. Never seen that happen before! Killer's zerks were hunted and killed by RF's melee forces, which then attacked the home flag in force for a comfortable win. Game 5
Killer note at the start of this game: Killer started in the northwest, while the Rabble Forces started northeast. Both soulless squads rushed north-northeast to the big mountain, Killer forcing RF's soulless to retreat while getting in a few free hits. RF set up on the opposite side of the bowl, and drew Killer's soulless off their high perch. Some minor sparring took place, RF taking out two soulless for one loss. Killer pressed the attack, and good targetting of wounded soulless by RF won the battle for them. Killer then charged with their warriors into the embrace of RF's thrall, with thrall backup very slow to commit. It was over very quickly. Match Summary (films)
As the Bamboo Fighters point out, in a tournament that changes maps each round, in order to succeed an order should practice the games in question at least once. - Butcher
