The final betting tables have just been published by the MWC Council and not
surprisingly, the Rhi'anon Rumblers come out as the top-seed to walk away with
the 1998 Myth World Cup. The Forest Heart Redwoods and the Scottish Nationals
earn the second and third seeds respectively in what looks to be a highly
competitive tournament, and all eyes are on the Quad-Cities All-Stars after
their exciting pre-tournament qualifying rounds. Some speculate that many of
the undead squads received a low ranking simply because so little is known
about them, especially Bonehammer's Bloodragers who are a group of virtual
unknowns sharing the 6th seed with the Myrgard Maudlins. Ghol United and
Soulblighter's Shockers are certainly not to be left out, as they too have the
ability to defeat any team on any given day.
Wagers may be placed at your local participating pub, post-office or Myth
World Cup host venue... just be sure to look for the MWC logo! Please note
that only the King's currency will be accepted and that all earnings
from state-sponsored gambling go to support the Stoneheim Excavation Effort
and the Mandrake Farming Subsidies Fund.
