The newly acquired veteran status of many of the West's warrior footballers gives the Quad-Cities team a unique opportunity to challenge for a top placement in this year's Myth World Cup. The added speed and agility they have achieved from relentless practice and hard work ethic has paid off and they will most certainly be a power to contend with.
Beginning this week, a four-game mini-tournament series will determine who from each of the four warrior squads will make up the final Quad-City All-Star squad. The first doubleheader matchup will pit the Madrigal Freemen against the Scales Stalwarts, and the Covenant Campaigners will face the Tyr Protectors in the nightcap. Both victors will then play each other in a winner-take-all final match to see who earns the right to compete in the upcoming MWC tournament. In addition to the winning team, the best two players from each of the losing teams will be selected and added to the Quad-Cities roster, so it should truly be the creme de la creme competing this year.
Expectations are high this year for the Quad-Cities, so expect the action over the next few days to be fast and furious just outside of Madrigal. Stay tuned to the official MWC website for all the latest!
