- Background - Childhood: Torrel attended the typical Vulcan science adademys, and received good marks in most of his classes. Despite his poor physical condition, he was deemed to have a highly logical thought process and a naturally amicable personality. He quickly became a popular canidate for many Vulcan Science positions, but instead opted to attend Starfleet Academy.
- Background - Academy: Torrel attended the Operations program in the Academy, where he befriended the Bolian Captain Rally. He achieved very strong marks in the computer field, making him one of Starfleet's forerunners in the Computer Programming and Research division.
- Background - Cadet Cruise: Torrel had a standard Cadet cruise, where he learned the ropes of his position and gained favor with his Captain's as a studious and efficient worker.
- Personality Profile from Starfleet Medical: From Couselor David Green: Torrel is one of the atypical Vulcans, in the sense that his stubborn refusal to release logic or to accept emotion makes him difficult to work with. However, Torrel's outlook on emotion and those who have it is unique to his culture - he finds emotion in other beings interesting, and although he will never embrace such "primative instincts", he "enjoys" (if I may use that word) observing emotional displays. He's also a devout believer in the sanctity of mind, and refuses to use his mind-meld technique unless necessary. He is certainly skilled and strong enough to be a good Captain, and it is my hope that Torrel enjoys a long Starfleet career.
