William Washington Hicks was born 1804 in Burke Co., NC.

He married Cynthia Lambert ca 1827/28 in Macon or possibly Haywood Co., NC.

They had four children:

Leonard Adolphus Hicks

Harriett Elizabeth Hicks that married James M. Ramsey in 1851 and moved to Habersham Co., GA.

William Montraville Hicks

Samuel Washington "Doff" Hicks  remained in Macon Co., married Cynthia Tatham ca 1857;

By 1860 all other family is in Habersham with the exception of "Doff.",   Wm. W. died in 1868 and Cynthia ca 1878. What happened to William M. and Samuel W.? Have been told that Wm. W. was an orphan? Any help appreciated. Sara.
