Dark Shadows was a gothic, horror, soap opera which aired in
the late 60s and early 70s.
It was comprised of a family named Collins and the things which
surrounded and affected them, namely, werewolves, withches, vampires, and
ghosts!
One of the main characters was Barnabas. He was a lost soul
who had been turned into a vampire by a witch who could never stop loving
him. And since he could not return that love, she bewitched him into
vampirism.
