Matching Practice: Left Neutralizing and Stab Forward (Zuo Hua Qian)

Figure 1: *A steps his right leg forward and uses his sword to stab *B's throat. *B moves his left leg in to the side of his right leg while using his sword to block *A's attack. Figure 2: *B steps his right while stabbing his sword to *A's throat. *A steps his left leg in to the side of his right leg and uses his sword to block an incoming attack.

Figure 3: Repeat Figure 1:. Continue the practice until the stepping and the matching become natural and comfortable.

Figure 10: *A stabs at *B's stomach area. *B slides the attack away to his left while stepping his left leg to the side of his right leg. Figure 11: *B steps to the side with his right leg and stabs at *A's stomach area. *A moves his left leg in to the side of his right leg, while using his sword to neutralize *B's attack to his left.

Figure 13: *A steps his right leg forward and uses his sword to stab *B's abdominal area. *B withdraws his right leg while using his sword to block and neutralize the attack to the left. Figure 14: *B steps with his front leg to the side and slides his left leg to follow the stepping, while also filing down with his sword onto *A's wrist.

*A immediately steps his right leg in, and turns his body to his left slightly, while using his sword to block and neutralize *B's attack to his left.
Figure 15: Repeat Figure 13: except *A will attack *B's wrist by filing this time instead of stabbing the abdominal area.
