801 T.T.S AIRBATS REVIEW Never heard of it I bet...{=P AIRBATS is one of the newer anime series to hit the US market now a days. Ask around and most people don't know much about it, but once they see it....they actually like it. Seeing the preview before GUNSMITH CATS, I took a gamble and it paid off great. The story line is sort of like Tenchi Muyo, only in the military. It is about 4 female airforce personell assigned to a post in an airbase doing tricks and stuff. Sorta like a joke squadron. Well, with the arrival of a male mechanic (Isarugi) the action starts. Isrugi finds himself in a love triangle between stubborn and arrogant Mitaka and good old Honada. As this love triangle goes on, rivalry in the air and ground threatens the very exisistence of the Airbats. Episode 1 in vol. 1 of the series is sheer wackiness as Isarugi is introduced. Let's just say this...how would you like to have a guy barge in while your dressing or taking a shower?!?! Episode 2 and 3 get more serious, with rivalries intensifying. I've watched the whole series and I highly recommend it. Not only are the character designs good, the details on the military aircraft look exactly like the real life ones. Also, the beginning and ending songs are kawaii!! You find yourself singing the lyrics...if only they were english....
RATING: 5 PROS: Great character design, aircraft looks realistic, great story line, songs are upbeat. CONS: Isarugi acts gay sometimes. Yohko gets sooooooo annoying!!!! |
Rating System 1 - REALLY SUCKS. I'D RATHER BURN MY MONEY THAN BUY THIS STUFF...
2 - BELOW AVERAGE. SPEND YOUR MONEY ON SOMETHING BETTER 3 - GOOD. IT'S PRETTY COOL WITH ONLY MINOR FLAWS THAT WON'T REALLY BOTHER YOU. 4 - VERY GOOD. EVERYTHING IN THIS VIDEO IS FIT FOR THE OTAKU. WORTH YOUR TIME AND MONEY 5 - I JUST HIT A JACKPOT!! THIS KIND OF VIDEO MAKES YOU PROUD TO BE AN OTAKU. BUY IT NOW!!! |
