Alright I've broken down the reviews into series because there are so many of these darn series out there! Well here it goes:
ROBOTECH REVIEW
NOw Robotech started it all. Not only the legacy of Macross, but the release (along with other mecha anime predecessors like Transformers and Voltron) also triggers a new generation of the anime genre: MECHA!! Not your typical everyday 80s decade anime, Robotech goes into the future: humans at war with alien beings. Fighting with jet planes with the ability to go into space and transform into robots (battloids). 'So what?' you say? Hey, in the 80s transforming jet planes were all the rage in anime. Anyway, the storyline may be a bit childish at times, but the rest is fairly dent. Plus, the battle scenes are ahead of their time, and the love triangles are not too soapy. So what if CGI wasn't invented??? This 2D 80s anime series is pretty darn impressive. Kudos to Jack McKinley (EVENT HORIZON) for thinking up of a great story.
RATING: 4.5
PROs: Story has good structure. Starts off Macross series
CONs: Childish at times. Min Mei gets so annoying! (sorry Naomi)

MACROSS 2 SERIES REVIEW
A newer generation has come forth from the ashes of war. But the strife against aliens is not yet over. This time this story takes the Zentraedi point of view with Ishtar, accompanied with human "friend" Hibiki, a young man working as a newsreporter. I don't have much to say except the series' opening song "Hush of 200 Million Years" is catchy. Also, females have broken the ranks! The ace fighter (Sylvie) is actually female. Great breakthrough.
RATING: 4
PROs: Plot surprises you. Beginning song is great!
CONs: Since when does a strong military resort to a singer for backup for its fighters? C'mon this is the 22nd century! Use better technology or bigger guns people!!! Oh yeah, the MinMei in Operation MinMei does not look like Lynn MinMei from Robotech.

MACROSS PLUS REVIEW
Now and ten, animators tned to spice up the anime with CGI in the 2D anime. The Valkryies look more realistic now. Along with that, the love triangle between Guld, Isamu, and Myung gets pretty darn intense when placed in with the storyline. It keeps you on the edge because the least expected things happen. During this, Yohko Kanno had made a superb job integrating the soundtrack with the anime. I highly recommend this series. I must warn you there are two versions. The whole series, and the movie. I suggest the series if you want to get really deep into the details of the story. If you want the summary of the series, buy the movie. Just heard of it and want to know the plot without giving it away? Just think Top Gun and you'll have a bit of the story.
RATING: 5
PROs: Great character design and soundtrack.
CONs: You get lost if you don't pay attention.

MACROSS 7 REVIEW
Hmm, now this was a dissapointment, after all those good series one must have a bit of a downfall right? Well Macross 7 is that downfall. Geez! Basara looked like a drugged out Rick HUnter!! What were they thinking when they thought out this series? Hanging out with a Zentraedi fangirl in a grass hut like GILLIGANS ISLAND, a Zentraedi outer space Moby Dick Side Story, controlling a Valkeryie with a magic guitar?!? Now the first two are admissable, but CONTROLLING A VALKRYIE WITH A MAGIC GUITAR?!
That's a sacrilage! Geez, if Roy Fokker ever saw the series he'd _____ bricks!!! (I don't curse that much due to my nice and gentle nature. I'll just let you fill in the blanks here's a hint: think #2)Well...at least the soundtrack was good. {=P
RATING: 2.5
PROs: Fairly decent Soundtrack. Series only for giggles.
CONs: Bad storyline! That whole valkryie business just gets me sooooo mad...
