Ranma 1/2 Review If you're looking for total wackiness mixed in with typical boy meets girl > boy gets girl > boy loses girl romance the whole Ranma series is for you! One of my favorite animators, Rumiko Takahashi (Maison Ikkoku) has done a splendid job keeping this anime selling hot in the U.S.A. I've tried many times trying to find one episode that sucked, but I haven'te been sucessful...yet. =) Can you get the drift I highly recommend this OVA? Not only are the martial arts scenes well drawn, the story line is totally orignial (since when was the last time you heard of a normal human boy turn into a cute little pig???!!!), and the romance between characters are hinted, but not to the point of extreme mushiness (a plus). Did I also mention the beginning songs are so upbeat you start singing the tune even though they're in Japanese??? Now that's something!!!
Rating: 4 good: Martial arts scenes, comedy, and tint of romance. Ryoga! bad: It is sort of hard to understand if you just start in the middle of the series. *THIS REVIEW WAS DONE BY AERIS |

2 - BELOW AVERAGE. SPEND YOUR MONEY ON SOMETHING BETTER 3 - GOOD. IT'S PRETTY COOL WITH ONLY MINOR FLAWS THAT WON'T REALLY BOTHER YOU. 4 - VERY GOOD. EVERYTHING IN THIS VIDEO IS FIT FOR THE OTAKU. WORTH YOUR TIME AND MONEY 5 - I JUST HIT A JACKPOT!! THIS KIND OF VIDEO MAKES YOU PROUD TO BE AN OTAKU. BUY IT NOW!!! |
