Buddy's Truck Stop, at 113 Washington Street in Somerville, MA is small with less than 20 seats at the main counter or the little counters on either side of the front door. The menu is written on paper plates strung over the grill, and you have to be trying pretty hard to spend more than ten bucks, unless you get a parking ticket while you're here. Only open for breakfast and lunch, so come early. I got the burger plate, Micky ordered roast beef. Both were good, hearty plates with canned corn and string beans, though the mashed potatoes were instant. Everybody but us seemed to be on a first-name basis with John the cook. Very nice tile work that looked original.
