Mandate Of The African Legacy
Black and Third World Student Association was formed in 1969 (first year of Dawson College). Now A.B.A.C.U.S and D.A.S.A (African Background and Caribbean United Students and Dawson African Student Association) have joined forces to implement student activities of various historical kinds. African Legacy is dedicated to serving the social, cultural and educational needs of the African Diaspora both within the Canadian mosaic and in the much larger global context without forgetting our Caribbean cultures. Our activities include outings, invited guests, cultural exhibitions and fundraising activities.
