Information Systems
The Information Systems Committee's main activities include the
maintenance of Insight, a program especially made to facilitate the global
exchange process of AIESEC through the Internet where it can be easily
accessed. This means that IS has to make sure that Insight is being utilized
by the Local Committee to carry out the exchange process such as entering SN
and TN forms and matching trainees worldwide. The committee is also in charge
of developing and maintaining the website of AIESEC-Ateneo. We make sure that
the information on the website is constantly updated and that information about
the LC is made available to AIESECers and non-AIESECers on the World Wide Web.
The primary goal of the Information Systems Committee for this year is the
completion of the AIESEC-AdMU database of members, applicants and partners.
This is vital to an organization which operates on a very wide network such
as AIESEC.
AIESEC Week
AIESEC Week serves as a week-long culminating affair celebrating and
showcasing the accomplishments of the Local Committee for the year.
It's projects, seminars, exchange programs, are made known to the Atenean
population through various activities within that week such as a sportsfest,
a food sale, a painting contest, and many others. This not only provides
an effective venue for both AIESECers and non-AIESECers to take a closer
look at what the organization stands for, but also to see as a whole the
relevance of the contributionsof AIESEC to society. In addition to that,
this project can also serve as a means by which those who may not know will
discover what AIESEC is about.
AIESEC Video
AIESEC-Ateneo's very own video documentation team aims to provide a better
way to document various AIESEC activities and projects. The team will also
have its very own projects by providing documentaries, instuctional videos
and the year-end video yearbook which will feature AIESEC activities for
the past year. This special video will also be used as a tool that will
help AIESECers and corporations realize how AIESEC has made a difference in
other people's lives.
Internal Publications
AIESECtivities is the bi-monthly official newsletter/calendar of
AIESEC-Ateneo. Last year, it underwent a transformation from being a
one-spread back-to-back publication to ab 8 page one. It features relevant
issues themselves and reaches out to the AIESEC community and makes AIESEC
known to the bigger Ateneo community. The publication first of all, aims
to relay relevant and important information throughout the whole schoolyear.
It will publicize AIESEC projects and activities as well as feature each
department and committee so that it may be recognized as teh moving force
behind AIESEC's success. We will continue featuring a different project and
department every issue and give all projects the exposure they need.
It will still come out every two months at 500 copies per issue.
