Seriously, I hardly ever find any het stories for the YYH series so this perfect yaoi couple tops all sorts of love-links! =) They are not my fav couple, but they're so sweet and there's just some things you can't help but <B>love</B> about them. Including their amazing companibility and comfort between each other. Hiei knows all about Kurama - even <I>Youko</I> -, and in turn Kurama knows just about everything about Hiei. This loved couple stars in the majority of doujinshis featured online (translated copies!!) and have whole archives of fanworks dedicated to them. What turns me off about them is that I can't really see them as having a sexual relationship. Another yaoi couple, featuring gorgeous Kurama and Karasu-sama, the even more gorgeous and godlike youkai ^_~ Anyway, this relationship, if both in-character, would be totally physical - sexual. Also very much a maso-sadist spell. Karasu is obsessive, possessive, and rather disturbed. His obsession comes from somewhere unknown but what we do know about him, and what fascinated me from the very start, is that when he loves, he loves to the extreme. Since all we know, and everything we love, dies at some point, Karasu would rather take that life right away and by his own hand - thus, IMO, saving some pain. Still, I search for another side of Karasu and Kurama when I stick the two together. Character bios are on another page, for backround info. Anyway, this human and youkai love started out in quite a weird way. On a mission, the Reikai Tantei member was chasing after Itsuki - reason unknown - but as he prepared to kill him, Itsuki requested to be spared at least that night to see the last episode of a television show ((::cough:: soap opera O_o;; )) and Sensui eased up, also knowing and liking the show. From there <I>something</I> happened and Itsuki followed him, always. When Sensui fell into a version of insanity and showed signs of his schizophrenia, Itsuki was still there. He was always there. Faithful, no matter what, Itsuki cares about nothing else. Literally. It's <I>only</I> about Sensui. Openly Itsuki tells members of the Tantei that he knows and loves all seven of Sensui's personalities. The girl-ish one he comforts, and with that personality Sensui will cry and allow to be comforted. Itsuki proceeds to say he "wishes he [Sensui] was my [his] lover." It's an actual quote. My favorate 2 or so minutes for any anime couple is epsode 87 (I believe that's it?) where a beautiful, heart-wrenching dialogue takes place. I won't quote it becaause my DVD subtitles <I><B>suck</B></I> beyound explaining and really you have to see it, right there in front of you. It is after Sensui's death, and Itsuki and pulled them both into a lonely dimension. In the dark, silent place Itsuki holds Sensui on his lap and speaks quietly, as if he's holding a dialogue with the dead man. He says it's okay for Sensui to be silent; that he's never seen the human so peaceful; that he can't believe that he's gone; and that he won't believe that Sensui is dead. It's... breathtaking.
