QB-36-2/TF-99 vs. B-21/Super Max 1000/TF-21
Here is a great report from JD in Atlanta comparing the QB-36/TF-99 and the B-21/Super Max 1000 models.
THE QB36-2
The QB36-2 Shoots Just as hard and the finish is a Beautiful dark cherry or
Reddish Mahogany. The trigger on the QB36-2 is not adjustable, but it is pretty
smooth! The QB36-2 is lighter than the B-21, so it is great for field use. I
have taken 5 Squirrels so far with the QB36-2 .177, 850fps using CPL's and all
of them were taken out at 30-35 yards, head and chest shots humane kills!. This
rifle is deadly accurate and powerful. My freshly tuned QB36-2 has a Bushnell
Banner 4x12x40 scope, with RWS 2-piece mounts. (This is my primary
squirrel gun now!). I think it would be fair to compare the QB36-2 to the B-18,
because both of these guns give you more "bang" for the buck!
THE B21 .177
The B21 is a very handsome robust air rifle. The wood is a very nice and exotic
hardwood. The finish is not as dark as the QB36-2, but has a light walnut
finish.
My Tuned B21 will shoot Beeman silver bears, 6.5gr at l000fps! CPL's 940fps
CPH'S 850-860fps. This Air Rifle is in a class by itself! Its highly accurate
and extremely powerful! The B21 is built like a tank very few plastic parts! The
Trigger was designed by a locksmith for sure! a true 2-stage adjustable trigger.
I polished my trigger components and adjusted it to 2.5lb let-off; perfect for
long range head shots. I have taken several squirrels in the 40-45 range using
superdomes. The Superdomes left nice size holes in the squirrels, chest, or
wherever the squirrel was hit. Starlings don't have a chance when the B21 is let
loose! I have encountered pass-throughs and taken out two (2) starlings at
one time!
The B21 requires a very durable scope (Bushnell Trophy series 4x12x40 on mine),
and scope mounts (RWS-1 PIECE C-mounts on mine). This gun will Pulverize a cheap
scope! so you have been warned! br>
