After being made the top pick overall for 1999 rookie draft, the 6-5 slotman hooked up one last time with college team De la Salle and led the Archers to a stirring win over Sto. Tomas in the UAAP finals.

The UAAP championship and MVP award in the bag, Don went to join Alaska in the Governors Cup and played a key role in the team's march to the finals, ushering what is expected to be a long, fruitful career in the pro.
