In fact, it is no stretch that say that the many-time national player would have been an overwhelming favorite to win the plum in his third season with Alaska.

It was not much his scoring that set Rodney apart from the rest. Rather, it was his versatility - his ability to post up, hit the jump shot and play defense, among other things - that made him Alaska's most potent weapon off the bench.
