Known as the Gold Medal sewing Machine company, they produced this machine, called "The Home Companion" They had outlets in New York, Boston and London, and were the predecessors of The New Home Sewing Machine Company.

The slide plate is stamped "London" with initials "K" & "M"

These machines sold in London in 1878 for 4 Guineas ( 4 Pounds & 4 Shillings )
