General Information

The American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) was formed in 1976 as a not for profit organiztion to build public awareness of home inspection and to enhance the technical and professional performance of home inspectors. It is the oldest and most respected professional association of home inspectors in North America, representing its membership and the profession as a whole in areas of education, marketing, and communications.

ASHI's Standards of Practice are the mostwidely accepted home inspection guidelines in use today. They include all of the home's major systems and components, and describe what the home inspector is required, and not required, to inspect. The ASHI Standards are recognized by many authorities as the definitive standard for professional performance in the home inspection industry.

To be a member you must take credited courses through each year to stay qualified and updated.

Why you need a home inspection.

Buying a home is a major investment. A Home inspection by All Lakes Home Inspections will help you identify your major components and any visible problem and how to correct them before you purchase the property.

What should I do if the professional home inspector finds a problem?

The Professional home inspector may find defects which you did not notice when you first viewed your home. Many defects can be easily fixed, or even tolerated as is. Seldom would one of the defects be reason not to buy a home.
