WISHING YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS

CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS EVERY DAY
OUR GRANDDAUGHTERS

KIERSTEN AGE 4 (Our oldest granddaughter)
Just learned to tie her shoes, can count to 20, write all her letters, and is an avid artist. Says she is going to hate working at McDonalds when she grows up. She has her fairytale wedding all planned except choosing the groom. Says she will wait until she gets to college to find a boy because he will be smarter. But she worries about how she will get to college because she doesn't know how to drive. So grandma told her she would drive her to college.

LILY AGE 15 months(Our youngest granddaughter)
Can walk, climb, and dial 911, as her parents recently learned after a callback from the police station. Eats anything from bananas to dog food. Loves to play with big sis. Has learned that pushing buttons on the remote makes the TV do funny stuff, and poking the dog in the eye makes the dog do funny stuff.

GRANDCHILDREN
One of the joys that comes with old age
HOPE YOUR CHRISTMAS IS FILLED WITH THE LAUGHTER OF CHILDREN.
Do you know why grandchildren are always so full of energy? They suck it out of their grandparents.
Grandchildren are God's way of compensating us for growing old.
I don't intentionally spoil my grandkids. It's just that correcting them often takes more energy than I have left.
Few things are more delightful than grandchildren fighting over your lap.
Grandparents are there to help the child get into mischief they haven't thought of yet.
If your baby is "beautiful and perfect, never cries or fusses, sleeps on schedule and burps on demand, an angel all the time," you're the grandma.
No cowboy was ever faster on the draw than a grandparent pulling a baby picture out of a wallet.
"You're more trouble than the children are" is the greatest compliment a grandparent can receive.
Grandma always makes you feel she has been waiting to see just you all day and now the day is complete.
