RID Megatron

"The Earth is mine!"

The brilliant and evil leader of the Predacons, Megatron will destroy anything and anyone in order to get what he wants. And what he wants on Earth is the energy contained in the planet. But Megatron has no interest in sharing - he'll conquer the planet and take it all for himself. He has survived numerous battles and is an excellent fighter - making him a deadly enemy. His many victories have helped him gain the power of a six-step change skill.

The Toy Box

Likes
- six/ten mode transformation
- unlike past six-changers, Megatron utilizes some of the latest design methods used for Transformers allowing for great poseability and play.
- the superb design present in many RID toys is exemplified in Megatron. In robot mode, Megatron has nineteen points of articulation. Partly for the purpose of his many transformations, his arms and legs have an unusual number of articulation points. This lends the toy the flexibility to be placed into some fantastic poses.
- The twin swords can double as a missile launcher. These are pressure launched missiles and in a real cool touch, the base of both weapons can connect together to form a double-bladed sabre!

Dislikes
- the major drawback with the heightened posability and contrived design is that the toy loses its stability and ability to stay intact.

Robot mode

Bat Mode
- flip out the silver chestpiece, and you will find the cavity within which the robot head is to be concealed, the landing gear for the jet mode AND the snout for the bat.

Double Headed Dragon Mode
- the feet and heels on the legs of the robot will close up to form the heads of the two-headed dragon, while the covering flap of the feet will flip up to form the ears and horns of the dragon heads.

Ground Vehicle Mode
- very sleek, but very not intact.

Claw Mode
- quite a credible mode, IMO.

Jet Mode

Alternative Galvatron Modes
Boat Cruiser Mode
- this is the worst mode.

Griffin Mode
- my favourite mode. I'm surprised Takara didn't include it as an official mode when RID Megatron was first released.

Flying Dragon Mode
- a little wierd, but still interesting
Elephant Mode
- quite credible from all angles - more than what is shown below.
