5.  Shinomori Aoshi (Rurouni Kenshin)

One good point that counts in his favor - he doesn't preach. Actually, he doesn't talk much, period. He just shows up, swings his kodachis about in some really impressive fighting moves, and uses his considerable intelligence to solve mysteries that baffle others with lesser gray matters. What other stuff counts in his favor? Oh, of course, Misao likes him! I wouldn't argue with Misao-chan's taste in men.
 
 
 
 
 

4.  Sakuragi Hanamichi (Slam Dunk)
 

This guy is incredible. How can anyone not like him? Such unshakeable belief in himself! Not to mention his fierce loyalty to his friends, his sweet albeit misguided sense of chivalry, and the absolute passion he puts into everything he does. He really is the tensai! ^_^
 
 
 
 
 
 

3.  Rukawa Kaede (Slam Dunk)

Yes, I like him. So sue me ^_^. It's (quite) the majority opinion (of fangirls anyway, both real and in the story) that he's gorgeous, but I don't agree. I mean, there are times when he's handsome beyond words, but most of the time he's not drawn very well. I think in the manga, Mitsui's the best drawn character there. For examples of badly-drawn Rukawa, just go look at the cover of manga 19 (IMO anyway). Well, badly-drawned or not, I think he's cool. And you gotta admit, he's the best basketball player in Slam Dunk. He has the personality of a marble statue, but... hey, I like Aoshi ^^.
 
 
 

2.  Nagisa Kaworu (Neon Genesis Evangelion)

He's so good to Shinji. Compare:
Asuka to Shinji: Anta BAKA!!!
Rei to Shinji: ........ *SLAP!*
Kaworu to Shinji: I must have been born to meet you.

Kaworu's such a tragic character. He's got the saddest and kindest eyes I've ever seen. And he's got some of the best lines in the anime!
 
 
 

1.  Kurama (Yu Yu Hakusho)

There's just something about a brainy guy that's so attractive ^_^. Kurama's probably the smartest guy in the entire manga. He's an ancient fox demon reincarnated into a human body, and now spends his time as Minamino Shuuichi, perfect student, perfect son, perfect everything. He's not easily excitable, in fact, he remains calm in almost any situation, a trait which has come in handy on more than one occasion for the Reikai Tantei. He's got a complex personality, beautiful eyes, red (or silver) hair any girl would kill for, intelligence by the bucketfuls, and he's kawaii. All the makings for one's favorite bishonen ^_^.
