                              - 692kW (1000 hp) Bo-Bo units also built by English Electric.

D46 Class             D47, D49 and D51
                              - 1339kW (1800 hp) Co-Co units built by English Electric.
 

442 Class              101 and 102
                              - 1491kW (1800 hp) Co-Co units built by A. E. Goodwin Ltd under
                              licence from Alco for the NSWGR and rebuilt by Austrac.
                              These units are leased to BHP for use on Wongawilli coal trains.

  45 Class              103
                              -1342kW (1800hp) Co-Co unit built by A. E. Goodwin Ltd under
                              licence from Alco for the NSWGR and subsequently rebuilt by Austrac
                              and leased to BHP.

                              LONG ISLAND - Victoria
                              This BHP plant has the smallest loco roster with just one unit.

                              PRESERVED LOCOMOTIVES:
                              BHP has a very good record for preserving historically significant
                              locomotives and a number of their diesels have now passed into the
                              hands of enthusiast groups.
