"I guess I dont have a lot to talk about but I will try to gather some of my history and memorable moments as we go along. "

Amanda and I here in VA, USA

"All are invited for my wedding on April 29th 2000.

Let's begin with the childhood days. My birth place is Aldona itself. I began schooling at an early age of Four along with my brother Francis. I went to St Thomas Boys High school which is located around 4 miles from my residence in Carona, Aldona Goa. Going to school was fun. Soon the circle of freinds began to rise exponentially as I progressed through the Primary(early) school. My grade was kind of Ok throuought , a modest Second in the class.

I finished my High School Education at St. Thomas Boys securing a First Class degree in the SSC exam. During this time activities revolved around playing football and taking part in the school sports activities. Made a lot of friends far and near, some of them which keep in touch when I go down for vacation.

Soon after completing High School, I proceeded to do my Higher Secondary in St Xaviers' College Mapusa Goa. It was interesting to meet a lot of people not only from your village, but all throughout the state of Goa. The primary interest for me at that stage was to get a good grade. Soon HSSC exam was cleared in First grade. Then I continued in the same college to complete my Bachelors' in Science majoring in Physics and Maths.

The years between the teens and youth were the most memorable of all. It was all fun stuff playing a lot of outdoor games like Football, cricket and indoor games as well. Taking part in the local tournaments and playing with rival teams was certainly good experience. As I completed my Bsc, then Focus changed from the games to more serious lookout for prospective careers. From then on, I guess Time was running out for me.

Luckily for us the Post-graduate degree course had started in Goa University a couple of years back. The All India Entrance exam was conducted as usual for a seat in the prestigious course. Luckily, after a lot of preparation, I got in and so did my brother. It was a lot of relief because it was kind of a final effort to get something in the technology forefront. I still feel quite lucky to get a seat in the MCA course and very much indebted to all the Professors and fellow students for helping me to get this professional degree. No doubt it was tough going most of the time, but when I look back now I say to myself, It was a good decision.

As part of MCA curriculum, we were supposed to complete a thesis for the course and this required a completion of a project in the Industry area. I got a project at Mormugao Port Trust in Vasco-Da-Gama, Goa the Port of Goa. The project was very challenging. I burnt a lot of midnight oil to get the project completed. The employees Steve Dias, his brother Rex Dias, Joaquim Fernandes to name a few were intrumental in providing vital input to the project. By the end of Project, I had made a lot of friends of all ages over there. The view from the place is fantastic with the Office facing the Ocean front and a lot of International ships docked for mines at the Harbour.

At the end of Project, soon after submitting my thesis, I got an offer for a job, my first one in the industry at MPT. There were a lot of other projects to be completed and it was quite an experience to work in a live and a fast paced environment in the Port. I worked over there for a period of 21/2 years before going to better my prospects in the Middle East. My kind neighbour Peter Fernandes arranged a Visitor's Visa for me to go to Dubai. It was kind of tough to seek a job in Dubai at that time and it took me 2 months to get a decent Offer. I am very much indebted to Peter for Offering me to stay with him until I got my Job. I got the offer from Sharjah, U.A.E and so I decided to shift over there due to the long distance for commute. I stayed as a paying guest on the Al-wahda street of Sharjah with a fellow colleague, Olivio Fernandes. Initially It was quite ineresting working abroad, but soon there was not much work to do in my area of expertise.

Luckily for me, My brother was working in US at that time and he said that Probably i would stand a good chance to work in US as a Consultant. On his recommendation, I came back to Goa amidst a lot of difficulties due to the sudden change of plans. After training around a few months in Goa I flew to USA along with my close friends Donaldo and Anil.

It was kind of tough to get adjusted to this place first of all the daylight changes with the Sun hanging around at around 9:00PM in the evening, a sight which I have never seen before. After a couple of interviews, I got a break to work as a consultant at AT&T Virginia. Here in VA, I stayed in Herdon along with my roommates Melroy, Donaldo and Vishant who joined later. I stayed in Herndon for almost two before I moved out to Sterling when my Mom came over to USA. All of us had a lot of fun first getting a car together and then visting a lot of new places with other friends. We enjoyed cooking turn by turn trying out all the dishes. A lot of activities like shopping, not to mention the settlement of bills at the end of each month. It was a lot of fun.

I am currently residing in Sterling, VA. It's nice place with a lot of greenery and centrally located to most of my needs. The International Airport at Dulles is just a few minutes drive from my residence. I like to eat good food and though I never touched a vessel in Goa to cook anything before I came to US, I began to put some interest in this activity and most of the stuff turned out to be good. Besides, cooking I do strength training 2-3 times a week. Besides this, I am undergoing training in Taekwando. With the Super Brown belt in my bag, I am looking forward for my black belt exam in Dec this year.

Among other things my interests include reading books, playing tennis, music and watching movies. I like Pop/Techno and Country music.

Let's talk a little about my Fiancee Amanda. I met her first in MCA Goa University, where I was doing my last year. The former acquaintance developed into a friendship when she came on a consulting assignment to AT&T, VA. We got to know each other well before we decided to get married. Please visit her beautiful Home page for more details. I will be going down in a couple of months along with Amanda. It's time for the big day, my wedding. Well it's time to tap your feet and dance. Adios Amigo.
