Payroll system Designed and developed a payroll system for Dock workers. This involved the generation of subsequent accounting details such as Trial Balances and Ledger reports. Also data was kept in a 'Data Wharehouse' so as to handle the arrears of the Goverment employees and the varied change in the rate of payment to the workers. Supplier Rating System For the Purchasing Department, developed a Supplier Rating system. This system was used by purchasing agents f or rating a supplier over a period of time. Every issue with the supplier was entered in the system and a profile would be generated to rate the supplier. The information that was entered consisted of both direct and indirect performance. Categories included the level of responsiveness, the professionalism of the supplier's staff, the quality of the material delivered, the promptness of delivery, etc. Extensive reporting modules were written so that the supplier could be profiled both on a stand-alone basis and on a comparative scale in his category. The entire system was developed on a Sun System running SunOS 4.1.3. The RDBMS used was Oracle 7.0. Oracle Forms 3.0 were used as data entry screens and Oracle Report Writer and Oracle PRO*C programs were written for printing supplier profiles. Quality Assurance System Was part of the team that designed and developed a Quality Assurance System. This system was used to log probl ems reported on any component or part purchased by the company. Any part or component purchased which was found defective would be analyzed and information on it would be entered into this system. The system kept track of the origin of the problem, the usage of the component, the failed component, duration of use, etc. This would be used to track the supplier performance. The entire system was developed using Oracle RDBMS Version 7.0 on a Sun platform running SunOS 4.1.3. Used Oracle Forms 3.0, PL/SQL, PRO*C and Oracle Report Writer.
