The Change

Plot:

Tobias has pretty much come to terms with his identity as a hawk -- at least he thinks he has. Until during a mission that he begins to realize he's being played like a pawn on a chessboard. Then he gets a visit by the Ellimist, who acknowledges "using" Tobias and offers in return granting what he wants the most. In addition, he has to try to save the only two free Hork-Bajir in the galaxy and help them start their own colony of freedom fighters.

Comments:
What can I say? I would say "This was a really good book," but that would be redundant not only because I say that a lot but also because I've never read a Tobias book I didn't love. That may be because he has this neat identity-crisis thing going on and yet manages not to sound like he's loosing it. Or maybe it's his narrative style. Or there are only four of his books, counting the one coming in August. Or it could be 'cause Tobias is cute. Whatever. I love this book.
