The Escape
Plot:
They thought it was over in the Zone 91 incident. But apparently, the Yeerks are still researching the idea of animal hosts. This time they are intent on breeding an oceanic killing machine for shock troops on the water-covered planet Leera. So they have to sabotage the projects in a supposedly government-based island just off the coast. And look who is in charge of the Leeran fighting hosts: Visser One. In order to succeed, Marco has to actually confront the person who is both the leader of the Earth invasion and his long-lost mother.
Comments:
As far as execution and narrative go, this book was okay. But the plot was
wonderful. The emotions and physiological action was perfect. And it had some great
moments, like when Marco had to pretend to be an Andalite for a psychic Leeran who
insisted he wasn't. Definite setup for #30.
