bk27.gif (40768 bytes) Animorphs  #27:
The Exposed

Plot:
Ever since the Animorphs first discovered them, the Chee have been powerful allies in their battles. But there is a little problem -- their holograms, the technology that allows them to function and pass for normal human beings, have mysteriously malfunctioned, and their systems are down. To prevent the now exposed Chee from being captured and integrated by the Yeerks, the Animorphs have to journey to the depths of the ocean to fix the problem: the ancient Pemalite ship.

Comments:
This is my favorite Rachel book so far, with the possible exception of #7. It didn't have any moral issues or thought-provoking speculations, or any really huge adventure (see #52 of the YKYRATMW for a comment on that) and there wasn't any big turning point in Rachel's character development. But anyone with half of an intuition knows that this is the prelude to further devolpments, especially when most people know the situation in #32 . . . Beside that, all I can say that the story was cool and the book well-done. There was the usual Rachel-book blend of comedy and seriousness and that particular style all of Rachel's books have that I can't put my finger on but I have always liked.
