TV-Book
Comparison & Nitpicks:
This is another one I havn't seen in a while.
This contained only one of the storyline-threads from MM1, the one in which Rachel looses her memory. However, there is absolutly no explaination as to how she suddenly falls and gets amnesia. If you've read MM1, you'll know it's because such pressures were being put on her that her subconcious was trying to erase all that information about the Animorphs and such. On the TV show it isn't very clear. And where's the Veleek?
Is it just me, or does it seem weird that in the previous episode, The Stranger, Rachel was debating on going to gymnastics camp and finally decided not to so she could stay with the Animorphs, and then in the next ep there she is going to gymnastics camp?
POWER
TO THE CRAZY LADY!
She gave a stunning and impactful performance, leaving us with the profound messege of . .
. um, if you're a former Controller you should get help?
I don't know about you, but if I woke up somewhere in the woods, remembering nothing except how to speak English and what a credit card was (though that joke was omitted from the show) and I saw bird's feathers coming out of my arm, then reverting to normal, I would be screaming and bringing on the hysterics. Rachel, however, seemed only slightly freaked out.
I'll have to give it to the show -- I actually thought for a moment that those two guys from The Sharing (but they didn't exactly tell Rachel what the name was) were non-Controllers. They were actualy pretty cute (^_^ no further comments) and acted fairly normal. Then I realized that, from the way they were just *there,* they had to be Controllers. Tell me one person who is not an Animorph or a relative whose face has been shown for more than 5 seconds and is also not a Controller. No, former Controllers don't count.
Okay, these Controllers are doing an infestation right there in the tent, they don't restrain Rachel or anything, they just tell her to look straight ahead and they pull out a thermos and tweezers ::scoff:: which you should know by now are the preferred tools for "Yeerk-ing." ::more scoffing:: How many times do we have to go through this, Yeerks can only infest from the pool, or in special cases in which you're working with a Peace Movement member who's staying alive in a water-filled Ziploc bag and . . . well, that's another story.
So Marco's a gymnastics teacher now? Hmm . . .
