AniTV:
"Home" or "The Alien"
Basic Plot:
Homesick for his
own planet, Ax uses a high-powered telescope to contact his father, and becomes hurt and
upset when he is blamed for entrusting the Animorphs with the Andalite power to morph. Ax
tries to hide his feelings from his friends on Earth, but soon learns that he must trust
the Animorphs if they are to fight together against the Yeerks.
Based on:
Animorphs #8: The Alien
Nitpicks:
- Normally it would
have been okay if the kid had seen Ax's stalk eyes; the active imaginations of kids has
saved the Animorphs many a time. But his mom saw it. And, assuming that she's not a
Controller (was it just me or did she not act shocked enough . . .) she would still not
let that go.
- The Controllers just
blased through the wall with flashlights --- I mean Dracon beams. Why on EARTH did they
not just bypass secuirty? (As virtually every adult on AniTV is a Controller, that should
be no problem). And how are they going to explain/repair the damage?
- Whatever Andalite Ax
is supposed to have contacted (I beleive it was his father) looks even shaggier than
Elfangor, Ax and Visser Three combined.
- PLEASE Andalites, use
your tails! As freaky as you look, the tail blades are the coolest things and you are
required to use them frequently and with great enthusiasim, epecially if you're Visser
Three. When you are engaged in mortal combat, I doubt that your weak (on second thought,
they look kind of bulky ---) arms could do any great damage to your opponent.
- In #8 Ax, with the
help of a vengeful Controller (who STOLE Kareis's idea from my fic ^_^) comes up with a
plan to kill The Abomination but is prevented because V3 is a resourseful little grub (and
makes one wonder if he is *capable* of dying) and Ax respects the life of warrior Alloran
too much to kill him while he's down. In this show, however, it turns out that Ax isn't as
good of a shover as the Visser and Jake and Marco have to save him.
