AniTV:
"The Message" or "Aximilli"
Basic Plot:
Cassie and Tobias are
having strange visions and feeling someone's pain.... Cassie follows her visions and
discovers another injured Andalite has crashed on Earth. This young Andalite, named Ax, is
unsure whom he can trust. Should he place his faith in the young humans who possess the
Andalite's unique ability to morph, or in that other stranger...
Based on:
Animorphs #4: The Message
Book-TV Comparison:
Sorry, I haven't
seen this show in a long, while, so the list is kind of short. ^_^
- Tobias apparently
can't see very well. However, it is not only a fact of the books, but a fact of nature
that hawks can see much better than humans can -- and in color, too.
- Instead of going
through this expedition thing where they find a piece of Andalite wreckage wash up on the
shore, they go pretty much straight to the woods. Which is one of the major complaints:
they don't even go to the ocean. I doubt if they ever will, because they are in Toronto or
somewhere, and heaven forbid they actually spend the money to go on location somewhere.
- They end up going in
another construction site (or is it supposed to be the same one?) Andalites seem partial
to abandoned construction sites that ought be forests.
- Jake begins to show
some actual emotions toward Cassie when Ax presses his tail blade against her throat,
demanding answers.
- Aximilli is much more
skeptical of the Animorphs in the show. And more foolish, as he isn't able to recognize
the one he calls The Abomination when he sees him, even with that give-away bald human
morph ('cause then you *know* he's a villain).
- Ax doesn't seem to be
all that scared or angry at Visser Three, except for the fact that he killed his brother.
- Ax's human morph is
nothing like the books describe him. For one thing he's supposed to be extremely cute with
an almost androgynous beauty (except not to the point that he's creepy) and look like all
the other Animorphs combined. He . . . uh, he doesn't fit the description.
