AniTV:
Not My Problem
Episode
15: "Not my Problem"
The weight of battling the Yeerk invasion is wearing on Jake and after a bad day, he
wishes he'd never met Elfangor at all. But be careful what you wish for, it might come
true. After a taste of "what if" from the Ellimist, Jake realizes that as hard
as the fight is, it must go on.
Based
on:
No current book, though if I didn't know any better I'd think the Scholastic people were
reading the previews for K.A.'s #41, which is rumored that a middle-aged Jake wakes up in
a world dominated by the Yeerk empire.
Notes and Nitpicks:
This episode is somewhat scary. Not only because it is weird, but it also teters on the edge of being intelligent and, um ::cringes at the word in conjunction with AniTV:: good.
It cannot be ignored, however, that Jake is extremly out of character here. If anyone's going to say to the Ellimist, "I want out of this, what do I have to do?" it would be Marco. Maybe. Jake, who shoulders the responsibility of, essentially, saving the world, would never say anything along the lines of "It's not my problem." Especially considering his brother is a Controller.
Whoo, we know Marco's a Controller as soon as we see him. "Cleaning up my act." Yeah.
Why is it that Tobias is the only Animorph? With Jake not around, Tobias wouldn't have been rescued from those bullies and thus wouldn't be following the group when they went through the abandoned construction site. Though in the first episode, Tobias did go over there by himself -- for no apparent reason, I might add.
