Basic Plot:
An omniscient alien, the Ellimist, pays a surprise visit to the Animorphs and shows them
the probable future--complete Yeerk domination of the Earth. The Ellimist offers the
Animorphs and their families refuge on another planet. Will the Animorphs abandon their
battle to save the Earth in order to save themselves?

TV-Book Comparison
& Nitpicks:
- Why is Rachel all of a sudden wanting to leave? The Rachel
from the books wouldn't want to leave -- for anything. And that's part of the problem; she
just loves it too much.
- The disk must be calibrated to a specific Andalite's DNA. Hmm
. . . .
- The kids are trapped under a net in this one. And once again,
an excuse to keep Ax from joining the rest of the group.
- Visser Three actually saw the Animorphs *in normal, human
form* and just brushed them off as morphs. Of course, he thought they were safely trapped,
but you'd think that later when they escaped, those little brain wheels of his would start
turning.
- Obi-Wan Kenobi a.k.a. The Ellimist makes his appearance. I
would complain about him looking like an old man, except I believe in one of the books (I
can't remember if it was #7 or not) he assumed a venerable old form. But only that one
time. But even TV Marco sees the resemblance.
- Here Rachel gets out of the trap because she grabbed a knife
from the alterna-future Rachel, instead of it going through the cool little
"butterfly on the other side of the world" thing and figuring out where to
destroy (if that makes no sense to you then read #7. It rocks). Then Tobias goes flying
around in the face of V3 and his henchmen. How could one hawk protect five human kids (who
are going to have to morph at one point or another) from, if I remember correctly, five
Controllers, one of whom can turn into just about any weird off-world creature you can
think of?
- For that matter, in a world in which *all* the humans are
Controllers and the Andalite world fell under the Yeerk empire, why would a lieutenant or
whoever future-Rachel was be carrying a knife? They've got Dracon beams!!
