Heather's Assemble: Insert Review

Alright, yet again, we have a dysfunctional Police Force that no one likes running about Tokyo. As of late, these horrid men (called the Demon Seed) with bags over their heads have been invading places, crushing everything underneath HUGE power-mech-suits. Naturally, they smash the police when they try to retaliate. And because of this, the people don't side with the force. So what are they to do?

Well, the Chief is a drunkard, tar-filled loser who comes up with an ingenious plan: get an idol singer to raise their popularity! Yeah! Let's hold a contest to see all of the people who qualify as superheroes, and from that, we'll choose the best candidate!

And along comes Maron Namikaze. She's got superhuman strength, but no sense of rhythm. She also can't sing. SO... they've got a plain-looking pop singer who can crush microphones unintentionally. Great.... How are they going to defeat the Demon Seed with a teenage girl?

The only things to mention that are kinda offending are:
There's one scene of a guy buying a porno tape, but that's really short. There is mention of feeling fresh like "A SUMMER'S EVE!" Which is a feminine itching/smelly crap product...
Also, there is some swearing, drinking and smoking, and your general violence. But overall, it's just really cute.

Heather's ratings

Storyline

5/5 Cute.

Character Development

5/5 I liked all of the characters. Yeah, even the enemies. They were funny. ^_^

Plot Depth

4/5 Not really, but it was funny. So I'm leaving it high.

Music

5/5 Really poppy. But since it was about idol singers, it fit the mood perfectly.

Sexual Content

4/5 Just the porno tape (shown quickly with no detail) and the mention of the Summer's Eve products.

Nudity

4/5 The porno tape.

Violence/Gore

4/5 Just a lot of crushing buildings and smacking Demon Seed around.

Animation

4/5 Eh... it wasn't always the best. It was made in 1990, but for such a short film, they could have done better.

Profanity

4/5 They swore, but nothing serious.

Overall goodness

5/5 It was really cute. I liked it alot.

Totals: 44/50 It was funny, cute, short, and sweet. I like that. ^_-

Megan's Assemble: Insert Review

Well, the whole reason I picked this one is because the art style is so freaking cute! I mean, really! The big round eyes and skinny little arms and legs, oh so adorable! Anyway, this is NOT a hentai as previously told to me. Far from it! There are about two perverted things in here, and that's a porn tape (box only, so nothing big) someone's renting. You see the box art for about three point five seconds. Then they make a funny pun about Summer's Eve and feeling fresh. (for those of you who don't know, Summer's Eve is a feminine product for that. . . not so fresh feeling. I point and laugh at the ads. They're so angsty and pointless!)

Anyway, it's about a young girl named Maron Namikaze and her run-in with the Demon Seed. There are about four police dudies, and they need to defeat these robbers. (yep, the Demon Seed is a bunch of robbers. They don't attack when it's raining, though) They need a new plan. Nothing's working, and they've even shut off the air conditioning in the summertime!!! (NOOO!) So they hold "high-tech and practical" auditions (random persons). Maron happens to be super-strong. So they hire her, and pretend she's the newest idol singer. Maron has no grace, no REAL singing talent (according to her. I thought she did fine), nothing but strength to keep her going.

It's so cute, really. If you want that warm, fuzzy feeling, try it. If you want a funny show about cops and weird-@$$ idol singers and whatnot, go for it again! Nothing too offensive, just some swearing and two perverted things.

Storyline

5/5 Twas very warm-fuzzyish.

Character Development

5/5 I didn't catch the cops' names.

5/5 Not deep or anything, but a fully enjoyable thingie!

Music

5/5 All idol-singerish. A little too poppy for my taste, but it's not annoyingly so.

Sexual Content

5/5 Just that porn box.

Nudity

4/5 Again, that porn box.

Violence/Gore

4/5 Nothing too serious. It's got some fighting, etc.

Animation

5/5 It was made in 1990, so it's decent for then.

Profanity

4/5 Ah, just a little.

Overall goodness

5/5 It was just a warm and fuzzy feeling packed into a neat, hour-long tape.

Totals: 47/50, or watch out for that dubbing! Done by the WB and Pioneer (not to mention Right Stuf., Inc.) and it is CHEESSSYYYYY!! So other than that, it's pretty much a good family-type thing.

TOTALS (both reviews coined together) : 45.5/50. It was really cute and good!

Comments: Assemble: Insert is a cutesy show about a girl with superhuman strength named Maron Namikaze. She's got to help out the flop of a police force, and try to look cool while doing it. As if that's possible for a shy teenager who can't sing or dance! Recommended for girls, but guys might like it, too. It's a funny, short, little series with a lot of worth to it. ^_^
