Burn Up W is not exactly a sequel to the gem known as Burn Up, but it's another action-packed cop show. This time it deals more with a virtual drug type thing than kidnappings, but those happen as well.
Ryo, Maki, Nanavel, Mana, Lillica, and Yugi all work in the special police department. Everyone there except for Yugi is a girl. And Several of these women are part of "WARRIOR," which is a wonderful little thing where the women get to wear skimpy outfits that enable them to fight heroically against the evils of crime. Hmmm... I don't see how these enable them to be very well protected against... oh, say BULLETS?? OR GRENADES??!?
Well, Warrior is called upon to investigate a mysterious terrorist threat in their district thingy. They very soon find that this threat has more than one motive behind it, and their goals aren't exactly clear. Plus, the terrorists' demands are almost IMPOSSIBLE to meet. How are they ever going to pull through with this? The stakes are high, and more and more of this case seems to be unravelling in a very negative way. Massacres are starting, and WARRIOR needs to crack the code of the Virtual Drug. (yeah, but with Lillica, everything's a big challenge...)
There is nudity, swearing, innapropriate things, and sexual content. Not to mention blood and gore.

You can't catch this heart with a love that is too boring. WELL AREN'T WE PICKY!! I don't think Yuji is BORING at all! I think he's rather cute, Rio!
Anyway, now that I have expressed my distaste for Rio, I will state the "storyline". There's this lady with red hair. She's got a new program. (oooh!) It's a virtual drug. See, you put this little virtual reality thing on your head and the drug gets in your head. OOOH! Fun for the whole family. Anyway, this thing is getting widespread. Causing many a problem. Bad bad bad...
There's a little thing in the police known only as.. WARRIOR! Wow. What an original name! Anyway, this consists of Maki, the leader, Rio, the blond one who loves her body, Mana, the green haired one who loves guns, Lillica, the pink haired one who loves computers, Nanavel, the black(?) one who totally ripped off Evangelion and loves machines, and of course, the lovely Yuji who's the man and loves.. RIO! And women in general. But Rio likes to blow him off. Poor Yuji. No luck for you. No sugar, either.. ^_-..
So as WARRIOR fight the Virtual Drug Syndicate, Rio goes out on her own. Mysteriously, the chick who she meets up with, who HAS the drug, has the incredible (scoff) power to transform you into S & M outfits!! Hooray! THIS is where the evilness that ripped off Evangelion came in. GRR!
Then lots of shootings happen. Rio gets a PERSONAL reason to take out the terrorists. Oh, yay. A courtesy shot of Rio's butt while she sobs. I can't believe it! There's so little BUTT SHOTS of Rio! We need MORE! *I am being sarcastic*
Storyline
4/5 The deepness and continuosity of it all... -_____-
Character Development
5/5 Yeah, lots of that goody junk.
Plot Depth
4/5 Um.. try and you can get SOMETHING..
Music
5/5 Loverly
Sexual Content
4/5 Nakee boob grabbing, and lots of S & M. Hooray.
Nudity
4/5 Fan Service!
Violence/Gore
3/5 People get shot, lay "in a pool of their own blood!" NEVER!
Animation
5/5 Hair was really shiny.
Profanity
3/5 Ah, nothing TOO bad...
Overall goodness
4/5 Maybe.. it could have had less RIO and more YUJI!! That'll make it a real winner!
Totals: 41/50, or eh.. I think it could have been better.
TOTALS PUT TOGETHER: 41/50. We both sorta liked it...
EL Hegante was the robot that Nanavel built. It looked JUST like EVA-01, and when she started it up, in the program lines of the computer screen you could see things like "Dance like you wanna win", "The Porcupine's Dilemma", and a really long song name that came off of Evangelion. *can't remember name*. WHAT A RIP OFF! Then it was.. doing EVA-00 like things.... *berserk!*

Burn Up W is another fanboy series. It centers around a virtual drug and women. Guys will certainly like the courtesy shots of all the characters (well, Yuji doesn't get very many, if any at all!)
