Well, this show is not a copy of pokemon, contrary to popular belief. The "-mon" ending means "monster" in japanese, and since these shows both revolve around monsters and are both japanese, they both have part of the same ending.
Digimon is a cute, well animated, and silly television show. I like it because it is another original.

Digimon, Digimon monsters, Digimon are the CHAMPIONS! That's the ENTIRE theme song. The show is really cute and I do like it. I don't really care if it's a "copy" of Pokemon. Hey, you know what? I like it just a LITTLE better because there are other elements than "Gotta catch 'em all!"
There are seven crests and seven children must use them to defend the DigiWorld. They get their Digimon and they fight and stuff.
