Overall Grade: D+ (69%) Not Good At All. There was a lot of nudity, no plotline, violence, sexual content, all which was not needed. We don't mind some of this (plotlessness depends), but they overdid everything except the plot and character development!

Heather's Dragoon review

Dragoon is a really... pointless anime. I'll try to explain the empty plot to you the best I can, k?

There are a couple of men who are trying to run this machine. You don't know what it is for, or who is trying to run it. Just two weird guys. Anyway, they place this girl inside of the machine. She goes ballistic and escapes. The men have no idea where to find her...

Sadin is a boy who is out in the woods training. He knows some simple magic with a sword, and is working on strengthening it. He is about to go home from his hard day's work when he hears soldiers' voices coming from down below him (he is on a mountain side) and tries to overhear what they are saying. All he hears is that they are looking for a girl... so he follows behind them. On his mini-journey, he discovers a naked girl laying in the snow. He decides that he *must* help her and brings her back to his cabin, where he is staying *alone* for the day.

She wakes up and finds herself in Sadin's room. Mysteriously, she can't remember a thing. While trying to remember her name, somebody tells her (in her mind) that her name is May. She tells Sadin this, and he tries really hard to help her regain her memories. He mentions a creature called a "dragoon" and May screams and says to stop it, she doesn't rememebr, blah blah blah.

Sadin takes May back to his real house in the morning, running from the soldiers of the empire the whole way. He takes her in to his family and they adore her. Well, they all do except for his little sister, Millie. She doesn't really like May that much because May is pretty, and is taking her brother away. Sadin talks to his father for advice on what to do for May. His father tells him to help her out on her journey to find her memories. So he does.

Along the way, people chase after May, who doesn't really seem to be getting any better. They meet other people who want to help them for their own reasons, and it ends up being like a big 'ol RPG (Role-Playing Game).

The only things here are the plotlessness, boredness, and the constantly naked May. The nudity is in detail, and there are several attempted raping scenes. There is no swearing as far as I can remember, but there was some violence...

Heather's ratings

Storyline

4/5 It started off pretty cool, sci-fi and magical fantasy mixed together.

Character Development

4/5 Not really good on all of the characters. Some were supposed to be really important, but were instead... just there.

Plot Depth

3/5 Not very deep. To tell you the truth, most of the events were purely convenient- in other words, they were an excuse so you could see May (and every other girl in the show, including Millie) naked.

Music

5/5 Ah that was pretty good.

Sexual Content

4/5 Boob grabbing and attempted rape scenes.

Nudity

2/5 May is always naked. You also see Millie, Lillith, etc etc naked.

Violence/Gore

3/5 Blood and other sorts of things. Not too bad, but it can get rather blooooooooo-dy.

Animation

5/5 Good and detailed.

Profanity

5/5 None that I can remember! Yay! This is a rarity!

Overall goodness

3/5 Not too good, but not the worst either.

Totals: 38/50, or okay. Not a keeper, not really even worth the rent. But at least I can say I have seen it... ooh.... that's really something to brag about.

Megan' Dragoon Review

Okay. I have to say SOMETHING. THERE WAS FAR TOO MUCH NAKEE MAY. For God's sake, we saw every friggin woman in that show naked! Was that REALLY necessary? NO!

It starts out with a naked bonded-up woman and a big golden dragon. The dragon roars all dramatically and shoots a laser outta it's mouth and destroys stuff. The woman screams and breaks free. The episode begins. Now, we see a really cute guy named Sadin practicing. He overhears some soldiers from the Empire talking and follows them. He finds a naked girl in the snow, the same one who was with the big golden dragon. He brings her to his cabin and she wakes up. Her name is May, and she knows nothing else. The Empire finds the cabina nd May and Sadin flee (hee hee flee is a funny word) to a cave, where they spend the night. Sadin takes a naked May to his house. The family.. all except little sister Millie warms to May immediatly. Millie really DOES like her. Sadin decides he's gonna help May get her memory back and his daddy-poo gives him a sword. They set off. NEXT EPISODE: Millie grabs May's butt while she's naked in a lake. Millie joins the party. They go to a town and run into a prince, who basically takes them to a nakee bar. There's a really gross-looking woman there. ICK. She's dancin' away while Millie gets drunk. The prince tells them that there's a High Priest that is taking over the whole operation and the Queen is just an ornament. So Sadin, May and Millie go to the Queen and she sets them up for a meeting with the High Priest. They get trapped and the prince saves them. He joins the party and pretty soon he loses all their money in a bet. The woman cheated and he goes to find her. She joins the party. Hooray. We saw HER naked, too. Then the crappy ending.. solved nothing.

Megan's ratings

Storyline

3/5 WHAT story? A bunch of naked women and no memory? Not too original!

Character Development

3/5 NO! We realized that May is supposed to be eye-candy. No. WUFEI is eye-candy! (Gundam Wing talk. As of Touga is ALSO eye-candy. Belldandy could be considered eye-candy. People like Lime could, too. PEOPLE WE DON'T HAVE TO SEE CONSTANTLY NAKEE!)

Plot Depth

1/5 AUGH! NO PLOT!

Music

5/5 It was medival! I liked it a lot.. though I was NOT in the mood for cheesy sheesy crap.

Sexual Content

4/5 Aw, boobie-grabbing. At least May didn't grab herself like CACAO!! (Knghts of Ramune)

Nudity

1/5 TOO MUCH. Why did they even bother to design outfits? They never wore them.

Violence/Gore

3/5 Some blood, some severings, I do believe.

Animation

5/5 It was pretty decent.

Profanity

5/5 I don't think they swore even ONCE!

Overall goodness

2/5 AUGH. That little trip down memory lane was one I would have liked to avoid. (see, we saw it so long ago and never did a review, so we had to rewatch it)

Totals: 31/50, or it could have been a WHOLE LOT better. Add some plot, some clothes, and hey! We've got a pretty good thing!

TOTALS PUT TOGETHER: 34.5/50 we both thought it needed a plot and some clothes.

***We rented this dubbed and unedited from CJ. Comic Junction. Hooray. Something stinks about this film.***
