Final Fantasy 8 is a good love story type game. I still haven't totally defeated it- I haven't gotten around to beating Omega Weapon yet. Ultima Weapon is introduced, and he is depicted as being SO TOTALLY tough, yet I beat him easily.
You play Squall, a really overly-friendly guy. Not really. Actually, he's really a big anti-social jerk. For most of his life he has gone to school at the Balamb Garden to become a SeeD. A SeeD is a person who is sent out on missions by the Garden. Anyway, for his big test he has to go with his teacher, Quistis Trepe to the fire cavern. Here you get to fight and beat Ifrit, and obtain him as a summon.
After you find out that you passed the test, you get sent on a mission to assassinate the president, which is fun. Hehehe, sorry I'm an anti-government person. So anyway, during this process you meet Rinoa, a princess. Yeah, she's pretty cool sometimes. She doesn't act like a princess and I keep forgetting that she is. She likes Seifer, Squall's greatest rival. And Squall does not care at this point...
Later on you have to go with people to a bunch of places on a bunch of missions. The first disc is pretty much all missions. It ends with the attempted assassination of the Queen, who is a sorceress, Edea.
This game has a lot of possessions in it, and its kinda freaky sometimes. The relationships between the main six characters of the game is really sweet and touching, although you don't find this out until later. As usual, there's lots of battles, killings, attachment to characters (yay, no deaths!) So in other words, I really liked it.

4/5 there is violence, but only one bloody scene in the opening video.

6/5 This is off the scale. The people were so lifelike that it was unbelievable.

Final Fantasy 8... Was very worthy of bearing the title FINAL FANTASY. The first impression: WHOA! HOKA! (heh heh heh, I seed Squall. Ok, bad joke.) But the first disc moved so slow! I couldn't help but be ever so slightly bored. But then things really started picking up! I became interested and started playing more. But little Miss OBSESSED! That's Heather. Played constantly. So I'm only on the 2nd disc, but I'm working, I'm working. So back to the story. I really hated Rinoa for awhile, but now I rather like her. She was devoted in the end, so that's what made me like her. BUT SHE PUSHED IRVINE DOWN THE STAIRS! So Rinoa, she had an accident in battle... heh heh heh...
Okay. You play Squall. He is sexy. And.. he's strong and stuff of the sort. So, he's not happy. He takes his SeeD test, and of course, you pass it!! (I have faith in you, my son!!) When you come back, or something, you find out a sorceress named Edea is taking over the world. And you are not happy. You meet a lot of characters. They are your teammates . And then, of course, the love story between Squall and Rinoa. It's cute, but I don't like Rinoa. She annoyed me and I don't know why. But.. so Edea is really not who you think she is, and no one remembers their past for some odd reason. Why? You must play and find out! It's really a very good game!
