Overall Grade: A- (92%) Very good. Some violence and swearing. (as usual ^_-) The Holy Mother was naked, but no detail.

Heather's Green Legend Ran review

I thought that this movie had a very original storyline and some very unique characters. The animation wasn't all that great, but the story did make up for it.

The story centers around a young boy named Ran trying to get revenge for his mother's murder. Ran is looking for a man with a scar on his chest, because when he was young and when he saw his mom get killed, he remembered a scar on the mans chest. Well now, a group named Rodos attacks the village because they are trying to take out all of the rebels in the town. Things get out of control, though, and the whole place ends up burning down. The people that attacked were really ugly. Or so I thought.

During the attack, Ran goes off with some of the Rebels because he thinks they may help lead him to his mother's murderer. They tell him to go say goodbye to the family he has left, and that they will wait for him. But they don't and leave him behind. Ran tries to follow them, but the desert gets the best of him and he faints.

A weird girl named Aira saves him and keeps him with her in this tent. She goes out to gather water and invites Ran to come with her when he wakes up. He gladly goes with. They head across the desert into a sacred place with running water. Aira goes off somewhere to get some water while Ran spazzes over this huge deal- after all, there are hardly any places left on earth with water. He wakes up towards nighttime. Realizing he fell asleep, he goes off to find Aira. She is staring at a pod. These pods are what is sucking up all of the water. They are doing it for an unknown reason at this time. Ran talks to Aira about the color of her hair, which is silver. When she turns around again, the pod, which was very far away when she was staring at it, has moved very close. And these things are supposed to be immobile...

Guess what happens next? Aira gets kidnapped and Ran's gotta save her. Now not only does he have to avenge his mother's death, he has to go up against a ton of Rodo followers to get his friend back too.

There is some swearing and some violence in this show. There isnt any nudity or sexual content. It's actually pretty clean of most things except blood.

Megan's Green Legend Ran Review

All right, to start off with, Rodos has taken over the Earth. Rodos are these massive pods that sucked up all the water off of Earth, so now it's all barren and that sucks. People rebel against Rodos.. but then they don't get any water. And, since Rodos HAS all the water, then you would obviously need some.

Ran is one of these rebels. He bombs a Rodos soldier, and a strange girl comes to help the soldier. When Ran objects, she slaps him. He's not ahppy about this. He meets up with a band of rebels. They leave him behind, and he chases after them. Then, he faints.

He wakes up to see the girl who slapped him taking care of him. Her name is Aira, and she takes him with her to get water. He acidentally falls asleep in this place. It is all green, and no one knows why. He has strange dreams in there.

Soon enough, Aira is kidnapped. Why? She's got silver hair, and that is of great importance. She is placed in a room, where the general tapes a bent blade to her arm, and she starts screaming bloody murder. There, he has a weird dream, too. He's worried that this thing called the Holy Mother will interefere with Operation Fireball. Aira assures him rather smugly that she won't. He wakes up, and Aira is still there, fainted. He's all freaked put and gets really scared of her.

Ran comes to SAVE her! YAY!! She should be happy. Well, I won't spoil any more plotline for YOU!
