EE!! I love this anime, definitely one of my favorites, the first I ever saw (besides sailor moon), but I just finished it recently. I also love the manga, although the manga is a lot... dirtier than the anime, let's just say.
I'm sure pretty much everyone knows the Oh! My Goddess! Storyline. But just in case, I'll write about it anyway.
A young college-aged guy named Keiichi is stuck at home in his dorm room late one night. His Sempai (roommates, like older "guardians") are out for the night, and Keiichi is taking their phonecalls. Well, all this hard work is making him hungry, so....he dials up many a fast food place. None of them are open at this late hour. So he tries calling for Ramen (yummy!) and he must have dialed a wrong number because somebody wants to see him for a "consultation"! Well, the very second that he hangs up, a goddess appears to be coming out of his mirror! Keiichi is very frightened indeed.
She explains that her name is Belldandy, that she is from the goddess helpline, and that he has one wish. She can grant him any wish he feels that he wants. Keiichi is all overwhelmed and thinks that his sempai must be playing a trick on him. So he wishes that Belldandy would be his girlfriend forever. Belldandy grants him his wish, and the story is cute, funny, and romantic (drool) from there on out.
The arrival of Belldandy's two sisters causes some...conflicts later on. Urd is obsessed with the fact that Bell and Keiichi haven't gotten anywhere, so she keeps trying to make their love life better with her potions and things of the sort. But they never work correctly, and cause more harm than good.
Skuld is trying to do just the opposite. She doesn't like Keiichi and Belldandy together, so she comes to take Belldandy home. Skuld is obviously a lot younger than the others; she calls Urd a 'big fungus head.' But just because she's younger doesn't mean she's dumber. She is actually much smarter. She can figure out any type of mechanical problem. She is a genious.
Well, before I go off on a tangent, here's the actual conflict of the story. The girls' father says Belldandy and Keiichi cannot be together, because it is causing exhaust ports to form and "bugs" are getting onto the mortal plane, way too many for Skuld (who is a bug hacker in heaven) to finish off. So the recall notice is on, and Belldandy has to erase herself from Keiichi's memory, while he is working overtime to buy her a ring.
Storyline
5/5 So adorable! And sad... more heart-wrenching than Evangelion...well, maybe not that bad.

Keiichi is a college student with one thing on his mind - food. (he's like meeeeee) So he's dialling all around town. For food, dummy. So no one delivers, is open, or they just don't answer. He makes a mistake in dialling the number.. a pretty lady answers and says 'I'll be right over for a consultation'. Keiichi turns around, there's a lady sticking outta the MIRROR!!
He kinda screams.. and Belldandy is soon to be his girlie-friend. Uh, that would be girlfriend. They move into the temple, and the story takes up from there.
Bell's sisters move in and cause quite a bit of trouble. Urd, trying to get them closer, Skuld, trying to break them apart! What a pair! Then, when all seems well.. (dun dun DUN!) Kami-sama (that would be the goddess's daddy-poo) decides that he wants them home again. Belldandy becomes very sad. Urd and Skuld scheme. Keiichi has funny-dreams. WHAT'S GOING ON???? (I know, yes, but I tell you? No.)
