In the future (gee, you notice a recurring theme with a lot of our anime reviews? We like futuristic stuff!) the earth has been taken over by some mean people. In an effort to regain the earth for ourselves, five young women that are cybernetically enhanced are chosen for certain reasons (which are very depressing by the way) to try to take the earth back. Actually, only four of them fight, and their space-ship thingy talks to them and says alot of crude comments! There are people who are after one of the five girls, Midi (which always reminds me of my cheesy anime midi's on the computer!) because of reasons that I can't mention... or I will ruin it for you.
Well, this is only a one-tape deal, so there isn't much else to say about it. It is a tear-jerker, be sure to bring the kleenex!
Storyline
5/5 I really liked it. Beyond the fact that it was science fiction.
Character Development
5/5 Not that great on Midi, but that's okay. What can be explained about her is, and it's all good.
Plot Depth
5/5 Deep enough for me. I loved it so much I bought it... oh wait, I do that with practically every anime I see...
Music
5/5 It has some pretty cute songs in it!
Sexual Content
5/5 No, not really. Groo.
Nudity
4/5 A bathtub scene, humorous though. Also, they wear extremely skimpy outfits. But what do you expect from Masami Oobari? (fatal fury.. . Mai Shiranui... ring a bell?)
Violence/Gore
4/5 Yes, it is. Disturbing character pasts, too. Just your normal sword fighting and explosions, though.
Animation
5/5 Good animation. The characters were all cute.
Profanity
4/5 Yeah, so they swear, who really cares?
Overall goodness
5/5 Very good. I don't know why I liked it so much. I suppose because of the girls' TERRIBLE SECRETS!!! Oh, whatever. I just did, okay?!
Totals: 47/50, I liked it alot. I recommend it to any shojo fan! It is more of a girly show, except the guys would like the boobs and stuff.
Voogie and all her friends are androids. Okay, that was simple. But is that true? I dunno. Can't tell you. Voogie has no memory from her past except when she woke up, Midi was there. And that's pretty much it. There is Rebecca, the gun-babe. Merribell, the food fanatic. Shiori, the pensive innocent one. Midi, the mysterious-what-the-heck-ARE-you? one, and Voogie, the happy-go-lucky-what-the-heck-am-I? one. Together, they are always saving the world. But Voogie wants somthing else. She wants to know who and what she is. Human? Robot? MAKE UP YOUR MIND! But there is no time for this. Bad people are after Midi, for no apparent reason. (they really DO have their reasons.) Everyone but Midi is worried about these bad people. Who are they? WHAT are they? Another humanity-type thing where people don't know what they are and want to find out! Made by-who else? Masami Obari! (Fatal Fury man. Big boobs, little brains. The ANIME way!)
Storyline
5/5 What am I? What are YOU? (wataru?)
Character Development
5/5 Oh! Good! Everybody's past is explained, sometimes in excruciating detail. I really did NOT want to know THAT.
Plot Depth
5/5 Humanity, what am I type of stuff is almost always pretty deep.
Music
5/5 Good! Cute, but I can't find the midi's ANYWHERE! (no not THAT Midi!)
Sexual Content
5/5 None, really. Okay...
Nudity
4/5 Merribell in the tub. Nothing is shown, thank god. (yeah. Like I would want to see YOU naked, Merribell!)
Violence/Gore
4/5 Scream. Cry. Bleed. Maybe I AM human... oh wait! Never mind. I just stubbed my toe. And really hard.. *sniff* There was some violence, nothing TOO severe.
Animation
5/5 Very good. Nice stuff.
Profanity
4/5 Poop on YOU, Mr. Silver-haired man who I cannot remember who you are!
Overall goodness
5/5 Good. Another favorite.
Totals: 47/50, GOOOD GOOOOOD!
TOTALS: 47/50 Very, very goo and cute!
