Overall Grade: A- (93%) Very Good, it was funny and entertaining. Some nudity, swearing, senseless violence (which makes. . . NO SENSE!!) and some good old skimpy outfits.

Heather's Wanna-Be's Review

In the future (which is when this anime takes place, not like you didn't know...), female pro-wrestling is hot. The Foxy Ladies, Bloody Matsuki and Buster Horiguchi, are unstoppable. They break every rule in the book, and still manage to win every single match they compete in. In order to defeat these un-lady-like Foxy Ladies, it would require an immense strength. Therefore, one of the last teams you'd think would go up against the women would be the 127 and 132 pound lightweights, Eri Kazuma and Miki Morita, known as the Wanna-Be's. They have only two months to prepare for their battle against the Foxy Ladies, and this is all after a mysterious accident in the ring... involving the Foxy Ladies and another team of woment wrestlers...

Well, you'd think that those would be the only enemies in the show. However, this "accident" that occured in the ring was set up by somebody... who did it? Will it happen to the Wanna-be's as well? What is going on at the Kidou Corporation? Why would THEY be involved with wrestling?

Okay, since this IS based around wrestling, there's obviously some violence. Yeah, there's blood and steroid-bound musclefreaks. There is some swearing, and some slightly detailed nudity. Also, crude humor is abound, and it's only funny to certain people. ^_-

Heather's ratings

Storyline

4/5 It was so funny! But they left a lot of things that were essential to the plotline kind of... under wraps.

Character Development

5/5 Very goo (goo=good)

Plot Depth

5/5 Actually, it's more scientific than you'd expect it to be.

Music

5/5 It was all eighties and cheesy. The ending song, "Music," (I think that's what it was called) was really cute and catchy.

Sexual Content

5/5 Well, people kind of get into odd positions when wrestling... but that's not really a DIRECT thing...

Nudity

3/5 There was surprisingly a lot for a 45-minute feature, and it was semi-detailed in the female chest area.

Violence/Gore

3/5 It was violent. Almost every scene was overly done with kicking and punching... etc.

Animation

4/5 It wasn't very good for being made in 1986, and it was only 45 minutes long! It could have been better.

Profanity

4/5 Some. But it wasn't anything bad.

Overall goodness

5/5 Kenichi Sonoda did the character design! (He did gems such as Gunsmith Cats, Bubblegum Crisis, and Riding Bean!) He is one of my favorite artists, so I was thrilled. Also, it was a funny show... but probably only to some people (who enjoy laughing at things falling out of windows and running into lamps... haha, I laugh as I write this!)

Totals: 43/50, very good!

Megan's Wanna-Be's Review

Wanna-Be's was a really funny short film about two women - Eri Kazuma and Miki Morita. They are pro-wrestling girls, in a tag team. They want to challenge (well, not really WANT! They want to BE like these two) the Foxy Ladies. They are the PROS of women's pro-wrestling. They are Bloody Matsuki and Buster Horiguchi. They are NOT ladylike and tend to cheat. Well, no one really wants to call a foul because they will get the living crap kicked out of them like a wet pancake! So after two months of training, the Wanna-Be's are ready! But they are very strong. Very weird, that it is. Because they may have been testing some drugs! Never! Well, can they beat the Foxy Ladies and get to PAR-TAY? Oh, the age-old question of a few seconds.

Megan's ratings

Storyline

5/5 Well, not too linear, bu it was cute and funny.

Character Development

5/5 With designs by Kenichi Sonoda, how CAN you go wrong? You were happy for them a lot.

Plot Depth

5/5 Deep? Pshaw. It was good anyway.

Music

5/5 THEY TAUGHT ME HOW TO LIVE, AND THEY TAUGHT ME HOW TO LOVE!! THE MONSTERS OF ROCK! Which play when Buster hops about. (Will I ever forget that ad? Probably not. Will I continue to make stupid jokes about it forever until you wish it had never been created? Probably.)

Sexual Content

5/5 Not that I could see!

Nudity

4/5 Boobies are not a rarity in here.

Violence/Gore

3/5 Some blood. And hey, this IS pro-wrestling. So it's no-holds-barred! Fun for ALL AGES!

Animation

4/5 Well, it was made in 1986, but there was just some stuff that bugged me. Maybe it was because I got sick. .

Profanity

4/5 Oh, a bitch and damn.

Overall goodness

5/5 Well, I thought it was very funny. I liked it much. This one isn't too popular, but still. Besides, Kenichi Sonoda is a genius and we love him, don't we? DON'T WE? That's better. Yes, we love Mr. Sonoda.

Totals: 45/50, VIOLENCE IS FUN! And ripping arms off of monsters that look like "OH GROSS! IT LOOKS LIKE A PILE OF OCTOPUS AND MOLDY OLD BEANS!!!". Don't you want to see it NOW?

TOTALS: 44/50 Very nice, very goo.
