The story was good, I'll have to admit. The characters were also cute. But, I wish I had seen the subbed version! No offense, but the singing was annoying, out of tune, and BAD. The voices matched the characters well. Ayako could really scream and whine and cry. GRAH! I HATE YUNA!
What really got me on this was the themes of friendship and love going on throughout the whole thing. Yuna MUST be friends with EVERYBODY! Which isn't bad but it is.. well... annoying. I have a message for you- if there was an evil tree, you could not befriend it. WHATEVER WILL YOU DO ABOUT THAT?!?!?! AH HAHAHAHAH!
Now the good stuff. The ending was good. It was sad, but it was good. They sang horribly in the end though and that sorta ruined it. But the story was deeper than the words, so it didn't bother me. Besides, it cheered me up after crying over a certain somebody's death!
I dislike Yuna very very strongly. Not only is it badly dubbed, cheesy, and the characters are annoying, but the singing is enough to burst your eardrums. Yes, it IS that bad. I highly reccommend, if you still DO want to see this, that you get the subbed version.
Storyline
5/5 Happy and cheesy. I hated it.
Character Delevopment
5/5 GREAT! THEY ALL ANNOYED ME!
Plot Depth
5/5 Oh, wonderfully deep.
Music
3/5 Shut up already. Why do they sing when that certain character dies? For comic relief?
Sexual Content
5/5 Uh.. no I doubt anyone could stand them long enough to get it on with any of them.
Nudity
4/5 In the end, there is some nudity, but it was undetailed.
Violence/Gore
4/5 There was some violence, but that bothersome... unless you actually LIKED the people who died.
Animation
5/5 That was good.
Profanity
5/5 Swearing, maybe once or twice. I'm not rating it down for that because of all the SUGARY FRIENDSHIP!
Overall goodness
3/5 I do not LIKE Yuna.
Totals: 44/50, or blech... do not make me watch the others...please...
It was SO CUTE!!!! Well, sometimes it was slightly too cute. I liked it, but nota ll that much. (now that iREALLY think about it.) Thanks to Sheila, I got to see it for FREE! Neato. So any way, Yuna is this international celebrity, who sings for a living. True, she's bad in the English version, but I'm used to my own singing, so bad singing doesn't bother me at all!! So her concert gets ruined, her teacher's nearly dead, (me, the fabulous MAI!) and gets a message from Misaki and Princess Mirage. They now know that the Dark Sisters have escaped! (dun dun DUN!) So Yuna wakes up, Yuri's eating her breakfast, so Yuna chases her out the door, trying to get her tasty meal back. They fall down, and see that the school's on fire! Yuri gets uspet. She's got a box of Girl Scout cookies in that desk! Now they taste like trickle milk! Then a strange figure attacks Yuna. Yuri gets even MADDER, her school, her cookies, now YUNA! The figure retreats, the hospital's getting attacked. Yuna makes a friend! Ayako... doesn't she look familiar? So it begins..... or should I say ends? Anyway, so Yuna and Yuri go back home. Ayako's very shy, or maybe just anti-social. BUT.. Yuna tries to get her to go to school. Ayako eventually does come, but gets scared by some people, she's just not ready to go meeting them yet.
After school, they take Ayako shopping, and ot an amusement park. Ayako accidetally bumps into a little girl, and she lets go of her "bunny" balloon. Yuna tries to calm her down, Yuri tries to grab it, but Ayako saves the day! She puts her hands to the ground, and electric wires shoot out and grab the balloon. The little girl is grateful. Ayako feels all happy like now. YAY! But all is not well in the land of the living.. Kyoka is on her way... And then there is the wonder of THE DARKEST ONE!! "Peace and light are overrated." Oh, how true is that!
Storyline
5/5 It was pretty good, especially for a Yuna
Character Development
5/5 It was okay, but nobody really HONESTLY cares about Yuna's wonderful previous adventures anyway...
Plot Depth
5/5 Um.. it all depends on what you make it
Music
4/5 It was okay.. remember, I'm used to bad singing. I live with me.
Sexual Content
5/5 You realize there IS a girl named Yuri... that's enough for me! (see our terminology to get the joke..)
Nudity
4/5 Ayako is a nudee in the end.
Violence/Gore
4/5 Not to much. Some blood, some deaths, lotsa neck grips on Miss Polylina! There is a rather.. yellow-colored bloody scene with bad stomach cramps... O_o??
Animation
5/5 It was pretty good.
Profanity
4/5 Oh, she swore. Whoopdee doo.
Overall goodness
4/5 Yuna and her friends tend to get on my nerves and I rarely watch the very very end because they sing... Does anyone know where a good friend goes when they go? Um.. depends on where they are headed..GO WEST, YOUNG MAN!!
Totals: 45/50, or good. I liked it very much.... but rocks are NOT our bestest friends.. they never will be. They are not live.. YUNA! I AM TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING!!
TOTALS (both reviews coined together) 44.5/50. Goo. Very goo.
*** Thanks to Sheila, Megan saw it. Heather rammed her head agaisnt a wall a few times to rid herself of the cheesy out-of-tune singing.***
