When Education becomes slavery

---SOMEWHERE, FOR THE PAST MONTHS THINGS led to big changes in my mind. I suddenly realized that I was a slave. Yes a slave like you!...and this is why I am writing this article.

This was a needed liberation that came just after I started studying Anarchism, ideology that reformed my mind. You certainly would ask "Why am I a slave?". Well, my friend, you are a slave because, like anybody else, you went, or are still going to school. This article is written in order to show you how the system manages to enslave you and me. In a dictatorship, the state openly brainwashes the people and puts fear and repression on them. In our "democratic" nations, the state subconciously brainwashes you and me. They don't do it openly otherwise it would be too obvious. They make you think you are free when in fact you believe whatever they say. They use school to teach us from a very young age what they want us to believe...The Jesuits said that if you give them the chance to educate a child until for the first 6 years or so ou can control her/him.

I am finishing school this year, after studying in complete opposite school systems, and have a lot of opinions about the education we are given in general. Many of you may say that "How could you compare so many schools from all over the World?". Well they all have many things in common and we can do many things as well to get free.

This article is made up this way. Go on each link to read the different part of the arguments I propose:
  1. The school teaches us values that will allow the state to manipulate us.

The school teaches us values that will allow the state to control our minds

Early in our education, we are taught values and ideologies that will shape our thinking for the rest of our lives. The main values used are: nationalism and "democratic".
I began my education in my country, Cuba, in kindergarden. It is amazing to see how much they gave us nationalistic values. Before we learnt to write and read we could sing the anthem, we knew the meanings of the Cuban flag, we had to be proud and ready to give it all to our nation. I personally don't see anything bad with loving one's country as long as it doesn't mean you will end up being racist and forget that above any nation there is ONE humanity. We are all the same but we should not fear anyone who wishes to destroy our land. BUT this teachings are used by the state. By making us nationalistics, the goverment can manipulate us and send us easily to fight wars that will only benefit those in power (the rich and the state).

Those that figth those wars are the inocent people, the workers. But those that benefit from it are the rich and powerful. For example WW1 and WW2 are pure example on how the government used nationalism to push the worker to fight for them. The latter were taugth that they would figth for freedom and for their country. They were told that they would win the war in a matter of of a year maximum. Everybody was very excited at the start of the conflicts. The government managed to lie to them. If it was so then Why, instead of preserving peace after WWI and avoid another one, the division of the ex-German colonies and its raw material was the first thing the world leaders did?.Why did the allied divide the world to themselves before having the war completely finished at the last few months of WWII?

Nationalism can make us very usable because it is based on feeling. Your country becomes something more than just a frontier and you end up almost worshiping things like the flags and the initial of your country.

Earlier I talked about Cuba being very nationalistic but many other ocuntries are: USA, Holland, USA, Iraq...Beware of excesive love to your country. Above any country there are our human sister and brother from other places.

In Europe and North America the school aims more at teaching the kids that they are in a free country. "You are lucky, you are free, we are equal". They soon teach you that Human rights are nothing else but the rigth to say what you want. But they don't teach you that every one deserves a house, food...and they don't teach how the medias lie to you...and how the teachers, workers of the state, lie to you.

Very early they teach you for example that communism, socialism etc. is bad and an illusion. Most of us grow up being told this and actually end up thinking that they know about socialism, anarchism, communism and actually they don't know shit. I have seen many in Europe in my school offending communism and then when they were asked to define it they couldn't. They just repited what they heard on the news: isolation, evil...and nothing about the state owning the industry. To study more on our false democracy go to the following critic of our "free democratic" system.

See around you for yourself, ask anyone who attacks anarchism what it is all about...They will say it is just an ideology for terrorist. Ask them what books did anarchist write they won't answer because they have not studied it, they just repeat foolishly what they saw on the news. Which is completely false.
