BUT, he also possesses one of the most beautifully sculpted, wonderfully symmetrical physiques in all of sports! A great body always makes for an easy commission...after all, I didn't need to listen to him as I drew him! :-)

Women are such amazing art subjects! Often, if a woman has both a beautiful face and a gorgeous body, people tend to pay more attention to the latter than the former….such is the case with my model, Gizel, in the drawing of the same name. Gizel - one of my Myspace and Facebook friends - has a physique that is so sexy that it rivals the cartoonish proportions of Jessica Rabbitt! However, I wanted to do something different and concentrate on her beautiful face, instead. Certainly, you can see why her face is an incredibly worthy art subject, as well, right? :-)

As “effective“ as make-up, fancy hair dos, and high heels can be in creating a sexy persona in a woman, I still defy anything to have as much effect as plain old confidence! Are you telling me that this woman would be LESS sexy if she were wearing a simple t-shirt and jeans? With THAT stance and confidence? I don’t think so! :-)

Artists tend to gravitate towards the subjects that excite them most..I am no different. BUT, artists want their artworks to SAY something, too…again, I am not different. While I LOVE to draw and paint bodies of different shapes and sizes, I was hoping that this picture would show more than just a beautiful physique. I was HOPING to show a back-turned person who was looking off into the future…but the body doesn’t hurt the picture, either! :-)

Here I go again - trying to use a favorite subject (and a well-placed title) to convey an idea! I loved the pose and foreshortening of this model…but, when you add the title, it makes you wonder about the MEANING behind the work…at least, that was my goal! :-)

I love drawing voluptuous curves! Because plus-sized models are not seen for their true beauty often, in this country, they are a favorite subject of mind. This woman KNOWS how beautiful she is - despite the protestations of certain ignorant others. This fact made drawing a sexily zaftig woman an opportunity that was too great for me to turn down! :-)
