Teaching is a difficult job for 20 students. What happens with 30 + students? I think we are there, or have been there. A class of this size is very difficult to control. Many parents offer volunteerism, and you should not be too proud to take them up on this. Submit a list to your principal, and have them sign up for the program.
Contact local colleges and universities. Have a student teacher program move to your school. One teacher with thirty students is difficult, but two teachers makes all the difference in the world.
The Boy Scouts of America, The American Girl Scout Council, and the American Red Cross may offer to come into your classroom, and run a class discussion. Clear this with your principal, and go for it. Lesson plan ideas are inspired from the most unthought of places. Listen to what they have to offer, and integrate this into your agenda! Not only does this inspire you to better content, it gives the students a break, and more importantly, you a break from the usual repetitive doldrum.
If you feel you need some aid, but aren't getting, do not hesitate to contact your principal, vice principal, or building representative for some assistance.
